These are the ugliest SOBs I've ever seen. The first colours are COMPLETE RIP-OFFs of Adidas predators including the Red Tongue!!!! One even has a rubber vamp.
Do they think we are BLIND or something????!!! I hate it when companies patronize consumers like that and think that they can get away with it...

If anyone looks on soccer.com or has the new eurosport you can see the Hummel Sliver Anniversary is the Mania they ripped it off all the way the only difference if the hummel name in the boot and they have two sections with a vamp on them insted of adidas who has two sections with 3 vamps representing the three adidas stripes.

It just goes to show you how lazy the hummel design team really is, they only boots that even look good are the Denmark and thats becasue they are calssic design style.

I spend a alot of money on a a lot of boots but i would never wast 400 on a crap pair of hummels they look like they are going to fall apart just from the pics. And they stink of bad japan design team style, they looks so "80's furutisitc style" i want to puke.

I take my previuos comment back I would buy them but only if they came with a free danish bikini model for life that never aged, and wanted to bump fuzzies all day.

I didn't figure it would take long to get a thread going on these shoes. Hummel is crazy thinking anybody with an ounce of common sense is going to buy their shoes. But hey, the cleats are hollow, so you'll be faster. ;) I was figuring they came with a pro contract.

I wouldnt consider any of them evenif they gave them to me...I know Hummel has been around for a long time but they dont make the tope selling cleats so why are they pricing their rip offs above and beyond the vapors and predators. You'd have to be crazy to even spend $50 on a pair of Hummels. Just thought I'd express my outraged opinion.

i don't understand how their sales team can put products in the marketplace at these prices - especially with their history in the game. hummel gear has never given me the image of elitist or luxury...with the nearest ultra-expensive boots being low $200, it's just ludacris to release this line. i thought it was a typo when i saw the new eurosport.

Come on now, maybe its just me, but my high school team recently competed in a tournament where hummel had set up a display of all these new shoes and when my team and i saw them up close they really are made with high quality materials and techniques. granted that they are way over priced they are no more ripoffs of the manias than kelme's master series. to really appreciate the shoes you have to see them in person, hummel has made a name for themselves in europe as one of the best, they are simply bringing their stuff stateside now. you can say all you want about the price but not the quality. i guarantee that if they were priced competitive with vaprs and predators there would be a totally different thread up right now.

Wondermutt has the right of it. I work in soccer retail, and was at the NSCAA convention last week where all the manufacturers had displays set up. The $400 dollar boots are very high quality, and likely worth every penny..... have you ever seen some of the small italian or spanish brands that make $500-$800 shoes? They are usually plain jane looking, but are made of the softest leathers you have never imagined. The hummel boots are in this class, and were designed by danish shoemakers in corelation with their poster boy Jan Dahl Tommason or whatever his name is. They might not be my first choice, but they are the type of boot you absolutely do NOT try on at the store because they feel so good on your foot you will soon be $400 poorer.

As for the brightly colored $120 shoes that are made to match the colors of their team uni's, they are made fro kangaroo and feel very nice as well.

All in all I don't think they are looking to take over the market, I fealt in talking to the rep, Andreas, that they would like to get back to the top of the decerning coniseurs bracket though. In short, this is the perfect shoe for the aspiring Euro snob...... all frenchy frog bastards should apply right away!
