Since last night's e-mail meltdown, it looks as if scudly has extra webspace in which to host the vid for download.

Hopefully he and his superior computer knowledge can get this working and leave me to instigating BigSoccer riots.

Again, guys, sorry about the e-mail fiasco. I'm sure the folks at SBC want to wring my neck for even trying.

No big deal. The real problem was that my e-mail program was trying to break the attachment into 160 1Mb parts and that, being sent to 5 different people, sort of flooded the guys down at SBC.

Serves 'em right for giving me the SLOWEST DSL service in the world!

I've added a video capture card to my computer and am working through the bugs to convert all of my match vids into DVD's (top games) and SVCD's. With fairly substantial compression I can get 45 mins of footie on a CDR in SVCD format. Quality is not impeccable but it's okay.

SVCD's play on most DVD players and if you have a CDRW drive, the bundled software often includes the ability to burn this format. Depending on your connection speed it will take anything from 1-2 hours to over night to DL a game, using a peer to peer file sharing programme.

Once I labour through the conversions I'm planning to make my Arsenal matches available online to all on AA and BS. I use WinMX for DL's & UL's. It's a no frills, no ads, or extra programmes, peer to peer network programme, which you can DL off the web for free! Get a copy of WinMX and, when you're up and running, let me know and I'll hook you up. You'll have the choice of watching with media player on your desktop or burning a hard copy to view with your DVD player.

So far I've just got the 2002 FA Cup final formatted. If anyone wants to try a DL they should send me a PM.

Alrighty sorry for the delay my upload to my server died last night and I had to redo it all. So now it's all up there, it's about 160mb big and pretty decent, some of the early goals are crappy format but still watchable.

Here's the link

I'd also like to comment that I ripped some of the Arsenal DVD's mostly for my own enjoyment and if a mod could please tell me if it's OK to upload and pass the link around for those since those of us in the US can't really watch them because of their Region 2 encoding.

Just right click on the link and save it ("save
target as").
It'll run smooth from disk. Besides, you'll want
to watch it again when you need to be cheered
up. :)
