Arsenal have signed one of the world's greatest centre forwards. The Gunners have nicked Patrick Kluivert from Barcelona and he'll join them at the end of the season. Kluivert, who holds the all time record of goals scored for Holland at full international level with 40 in 75 appearances, sees his contract at the end of the season run out and a clause in his contract means Arsene Wenger can buy him for a cut price 2 million quid. Kluivert will earn a whopping 115 grand a week at Highbury.

The Daily Star exclusively reveals that Arsenal have wrapped up a deal to bring Dutch ace Patrick Kluivert to Highbury in the summer. It's thought the 27-year-old would cost around £7million if he were to leave Barcelona now, but Arsene Wenger has negotiated a bargain of a deal, which will see Kluivert join the Gunners for £1.5million in the summer.

This was also reported in the daily mirror or sun (those blumps you see when you click on uk newspaper on espn soccernet)

it was a one sentence story about a week ago that said gunners sign PK.

It was so short I thought it had to be BS

Reliable sources are not likely to use the word "whopping" in a story, guys.

Hey I don't care who plays for Arsenal as long as they win. The Dutch love footie and have a great tradition. DB, Overmars, and GVB...if they are good fine with me.

So Arsenal has been called the French Legion, what would be their name if the Dutch took over?
