Obviouly I need it to be thin enough so I can wear cleats or indoors and the brace.

Comming back fron an ankle sprain too early are we?
Want that ankle problem to be come cronic?
Go to a physical therapist he will give you or recommend a longish elastic band. Do the exercises he suggests using the band for resistence until you are fully healed.
Then when it is healed, and you start playing again continue with the band and skip rope.
Comming back early is very foolish. I ought know my ankle now has no flexibility. I have terrible balance now even when I walk from trying to come back to early after 30 sprains and a broken ankle.
let it heal right first and do the therapy.
