Though being a Newcastle fan, I found it hard to cheer against Bocanegra. Did you see him battleing against the great Alan Shearer? Watching an American defender going against one of the greats made me proud. He also cleared that ball off the line in the FA cup game against Everton. With McBride looking to play there as well I'm going to start looking for a jersey asap.

Been an Arsenal fan forever, but now actively root for Fulham now that they have Boca and McBride (moreso because of Boca). Hope Fulham can make up for the loss of Saha and qualify for Europe! Can't wait till they get back to the Cottage- 11,000 people at Loftus Road for an FA Cup replay seems like a bit of a disapointment.
Not to brag or anything, but apparently I was the first person to order a Bocanegra #34 shirt at the Fulham team store (three days before the first FA Cup game vs. Everton). The staff was very helpful there. It was a bit funny- they didn't know what his number was or how to spell his name, but took it upon themselves to call someone at the club to find out! My one claim to fame!

So you are saying they do have team jerseys that you can put names and numbers on the back? How much did it cost you for everything (jersey and shipping)?

I had emailed Eurosport asking if their marketing group was all over this and the reply was no. Their response indicated it would be Spring of 2005 before they would have any Bocanegra, McBride replicas!

Unfortunately, I actually purchased it in London at the Fulham store. For the record though, I picked up the away jersey for 20 pound- the lettering and numbering made the total just over $80 (converted from pounds for your convenience... :) )
I should have bought 10 or so and brought them back...

If this doesn't answer how fickle we are - I was pulling for Fulham until they sent him packing...
The problem is, these days, we have to decide between The Man from Mars and the Rovers, Timmy Howard and ManU, Kasey and Spurs (although apparently not for long as ANOTHER club decides to blame the keeper when their defense SUCKS!), Captain America and ManCity, our second best left winger and PNE and now TWO USians at Fulham! I can't handle the choices!!!!!!!! :-)
Frankly, as a Burn fan (Steve Morrow) and as a fan of Fever Pitch and all their past struggles, my heart will probably always lean a bit towards Arsenal, although they are almost too big to root for (ESP. as a Burn fan!) I mean, if I had latched on when they were Boring Boring Arsenal, I think it would be easier to enjoy the success now. But since I didn't, it is a little hard to be comfortable enjoying the success...
With two Amis on there, both field players, and the fact that Fulham have had to earn it, I've got to say that it is starting to grow on me more than just 'another team with an American on their side.' Now if they can just give them fair treatment instead of the crap that Liecester gave to Kasey...
For my two cents, Fulham got two 'goodfellas' if you know what I mean. Consumate professionals who will rise to the occasion. Brian may not be the best forward in the EPL (duh), but he is going to make defenses suffer - and Carlos? I think he is going to have a long and glorious career in the EPL.

Hello from another new Fulham fan.
Until recently, I used to root just for Everton. But earlier this season the Toffees started charging for its webcasts.
Thank you, Fulham, for offering free radio broadcasts on the web.
It's refreshing to see that not all EPL teams put the pursuit of every last penny ahead of their fans' interests.

Seeing as how Everton are pretty much broke and have no money for transfers, maybe you should pay the fee to listen to radio webcasts.
