please question argentinos here....about all the things that only they can feel!

Sure he was a good keeper. But memories are distant of him.
but our hearts go out to him...he has that *#*#*#*# Hugo Sanchez constantly talking shite ....Cause he wants his job....What do the mexicans want? A world cup? c'on if holland falls short do u think they have a chance...hell no they suck the US obviously have their number already anyway.
What we think when a player goes out there.....he will probably make more money out there anyway...but libertatdores glory unlikely.....
well el mandrake dalesandro going to a smaller club for example.....well thats buisness unfortunatley

Ricardo Lavolpe?

What is the political, cultural, economic, and ethnic background of each club?
What clubs are considered nationalist vs. imternational player embracing, LEFT vs. RIGHT leaning politically, the upper class vs. working class, and finally different ethinicities???
Just want to have a better understanding of Argentina, it's people, the clubs, and their supporters.
Thanks a lot.

Bosta Juniors is really for the low lives and River Plate is really a club for decent people. And the rest I leave for some one who knows more of the Racing- Indepediente, San Lorenzo,Velez, Estudiantes,.....It seems to be polarized at certain levels, but that is eras passed.

In Argentina there is really two main types of clubs, clubs in B.A. which are all the big clubs (River, Boca, Independiente, Racing, San Lorenzo) and clubs outside B.A. (Olimpo, Rosario Central, Newells, Talleres, Colon, Estudiantes etc..) Most clubs are left leaning and probably anti-US at least recently among the fans you can see flags for Iraq, Palestine, Cuba, etc.. All teams are nationalistic and all are thought off as working-middle class (except maybe River but the majority of River fans are middle-low class). There are not many ethinicities in Arg. we are all mostly a mix of some type of European immigrants (Italy, Spain, Russia, English) with some Native American I guess. Hope that helps...
argentine soccer fan:
I grew up 2 blocks from Banfield's stadium and my dad remembers playing against Lavolpe while growing up. He was a great goalie in his time for all that is worth. Just think that at that time a player in Banfield could make the National Team, you don't see anything like that happening today (a player currently playing for a "B" team making the NT).

well like he said boca is low class and river is high class. racing is high class and since it was once said that peron was a fan of their club they have that legacy, independiente is working class. sanlorenzo is low class- and huracan is the same only really like middle class. rosario is a leftist club as che was a supporter and newells i dont know.
that;s all i can say now since im at work.
