I know that they Club and all have denied any sale, but they seemed to have limited that out and out denial to this transfer window.

Reading between the lines, I wonder.

Ronaldo (the real one) is reportedly in talks to return to Inter after this season. Why? Madrid have no other striker to pair with Raul. Ronaldo has said that he does not fancy staying at Madrid to be on the subs bench.

Now, who in the world could replace Ronaldo? He may not be player he was several years back, when he dominated everyone, but he is still one of the top 5 strikers in the world, and one of the other 4 is paired with him already. There is only one man of such quality that Madrid would consider and we know that. Madrid have denied every major purchase they have made up until the day it happens.

With Ronaldo in open talks with Inter, surely he knows something we do not.

I think the fact that story say Ronaldo to Inter should mean you toss it aside.

I did see one piece on a disreputable website I shall not mention that said Wenger had told the board that they could sell Henry, but he was going to transfer list him at 200 Million Pounds!!

Henry's not going anywhere. Michael Owen may be a different matter altogether, though.

if the day ever comes that Henry is sold...especially to a club that I CANT STAND, is the day I become a golf fan and totally erase football from my memory !!!

No worries whatsoever. The fans would run riot at highbury. Henry, the original Declaration of Indepence and the crown jewels. 3 things that are too priceless to sell.

Besides, Real Madrid are into collecting football icons more for marketing purposes than for football ability nowadays, so Owen would be a much better bet. RM are trying to build a global brand similar to Man Utd. So they are getting players every year to build on that and in keeping with their self appointed reputation of buying a 'name' player each summer at that government subsidised team they have.

Madrid still has Portillo waiting in the wings, so they could stand pat and be just fine, really. I know this is not their style. They had better not start stirring Henry up.

HENRY will never go to Madrid! Just don't see this happening.

Henry's a gunner thu and thru. Real Madrid can suck it, spending a week in that half ass city is as boring as watching concrete cure.
There are no worries.

maybe i think the sky is falling. But with PK coming, and another bid (reportedly 20m) for Reyes on the table, this is bad. Its so much money for one player, this board might pull the trigger. Not only has Ronaldo been reported with Inter, but has been seen at Stamford Bridge.

There is too much smoke, to be no fire.

Henry said so himself that he'd play out his contract with Arsenal right? So based on that, I'm hoping no amount of money is great enough to send him away.

Very, very, very, very very, nervous! The press rumour mill is saying a decision on his future could be made this week, which is why he is been given time off!!! God I hope it's not true! We had a whole debate about how much money it would take for the board to let him go not so long ago. As with all the best rumours, there's a lot of smoke about; it doesn't help my nerves that we're currently linked with Kluivert (apparently a done deal) Reyes and van Persie? David Dein was apparently in Spain to negotiate for Reyes, but, come on! We don't have the cash to be serious about this kid without some serious transfer money coming our way! Aaaaaaaaaggggghhhhhhhh.

Still, steady on, there are a few strikers who could be on RM's shopping list if Ronaldo goes back to Inter; Ruud van Nistoldive (ManUre have just bought Saha?), Michael Owen (obvious link up with Beckham) and Titi, or even Trezuiget as an outsider?

Come on you Gunners board!!!

Henry is Arsenal right now. I can't see how they would want to let him go.

It's a crap deal as well! If this is genuine then Arsenal are in a deeper finacial hole than anyone thought. 20 million quid (30m Euro's) plus Reyes - who is rated at another 20 million. That means we would be letting the world's best player leave our club for only 40 million quid. I was divided about the wisdom of keeping Titi when a figure of 50 million was bandied about earlier in the year. 50 makes me think, 60 would do it, but 40 is a joke.

If there is any truth behind this then;

A) AW has been knocking off Titi's Mrs!
B) Arsenal are going into administration faster than LUFC
C) AW is leaving to manage RM and Arsenal have given up any hope of becoming a dominant force in Europe.

If this is more than the gutter press stirring up trouble, then there is something behind this? Whether we ever find out or not, fell deeds must be afoot!!!

Just as a friendly heads-up, SoccerAge is reporting that a deal is fast approaching:

I really hate Real Madrid... they buy players just so other teams can't have them...

I guess they want to be so offensivley overwhelming that it doesn't matter that they only have two guys that even know how to spell defence.

It seems pretty assinine to me. Maybe they are betting that they can develop adequate defenders in house without having to transfer them in... Jesus, does Madrid even have a youth club anymore?

Anybody remember that Arsenal turned down, I believe 50-60 million pounds from Chelsea?

Dein is in Spain because he's still trying to negotiate for Reyes. In fact RM doesn't even own Reyes, Seville does.

i think i'm gonna be sick just thinking about this.

Arsenal would sell him to RM for less that Chelsea IMO, that's no relief for me.

no way henry is gonna stay in london (w/ chelsea). henry stays in the prem, in london . . . gunners may as well go into administration

please no one start the one man is bigger than the club speech
