Shaun Byrne headed to Swansea on a loan. Pretty much ends his career, what there was of it, at West Ham as he is on record saying he will leave this summer.
Eh. Not that too many people are going to notice.

Carrick to Charlton, but I think that's if we don't get promoted.

A goalkeeper from Uzbeckistan is supposedly headed our way.
Long time Hammer supporter Bobby Zamora has also been rumored to move to Upton Park from Spurs.

How does the Uzbeck guy get a work permit?
Zamora...so who's heading out the door?

Beats the heck out of me and your guess is as good as mine.
Glad to help you answer these pressing questions.

Carrick to Charlton - total non starter.
Zamora to WHU - see Carrick remark
Mhyre to WHU - quite possible
Crainey to WHU - 95% done, at the club discussing terms/medical
Seb Carole - Rumoured, no more than 40/60 chance at the moment
Keeper from Uzbekistan - unlikely, seeing as Mhyre looks a good bet to sign.
Harley - available on a free, plays in same position as Crainey, although not as versatile. Might get a contract after the transfer window shuts on monday.
Defoe is staying until the end of the season.

Dazza,
Glad you are around.
Carrick: I like him, one of my faves - just want him to round into form.
Mhyre: Would be a very good addition.
Zamora: not bothered
Defoe: Get us up to the EPL and you'll be King of Upton Park
Crainey: I saw him once for Celtic and looked useful, but I'm afraid that I might look useful in the SPL>

Just got this one:
MONACO, Jan 30 (Reuters) - Monaco midfielder Sebastien Carole will join
English first division side West Ham United on loan until the end of the
season, the French Ligue 1 club announced on Friday. Carole, 21, has made
eight appearances for Monaco since his first team debut in 2001, scoring one
goal.

Yep. if he doesn't play for Celtic and he gets a chance with Soton, fine. I would have liked to see him in Claret and blue.

Rumour I had about Crainey was that he was all set to sign for us and then Grant had a few words with some Celtic coaching staff and it re-confirmed to him that he would not be the right player for us at West Ham.
This was all a surprise to me as I read this saturday morning on teletext, especially as last thing i eard on friday evening was that he was having a medical and discussing terms at Upton Park!!!
I dont think he will be missed.
BTW Reo-Coker had a very steady debut and was unlucky not to score, and Nowland looked very lively for the 15 minutes or so he had.

I think the Pardew/Grant combo will be very strong for us. I just hope we can keep them together till we win the EPL.
