Who's going to win?

The Colts may be the only team that could beat the Pats at home - but I'm going with the Pats.

Being at home in the outdoors with the cold plus an awesome Defense - Patriots 21 Colts 16

My Adam Vinatieri jersey should arrive today.

It's like Chris "Mad Dog" Russo said, the Patriots beat you long, and they beat you short. But in the end, they just beat you. If Daniel Graham used some stick'um and Assante Samuels hadn't dropped the easiest interception he'll ever see, that game in Indy would've been a massacre.

In better weather, I think Indy has a fifty-fifty chance to win this game. They are good. However, they haven't played a cold weather game this year and snow is looking like a real possibility. I am looking forward to getting up at 4am in our 70 degree weather to watch this one.

The Pats have only played one game in the really cold stuff this year themselves, last week v the Titans, when they played like crap.

Weather is VASTLY overrated IMO, at least insofar as saying the Pats will play well in it and the COlts wont. There's no evidence of this.

I just think the Colts offense is too much for anyone right now, bad weather or no; Denver had an equal or better defense than the Pats this year and the Colts treated them like a speed bump at the mall. Clearly a hostile crowd doesen't bother them, KC is just as nasty a place to play in the playoffs as New England, probably moreso. So I guess the only thing the Pats fans have going for them is the weather. We'll see.

Like I said.

First it was the "Team that whupped them"

then it was "The Noise."

Now it's "The Cold."

I'm getting close to making my prediction, but you want to take a guess on who I voted for? :D

The Pats will be ready for the cold weather. They always are.

Have you ever tried throwing a ball in the snow or kicking a ball when it is colder than 20 F out there? Weather WILL be a factor. I just pity Indy if they have to wear their whites in the snow, which I am sure the Pats will force them to do if it is snowing.

The Pats had the best points defense in the league, and in the final analysis, that is all that matters. The Pats coaching staff is arguably the best in the league. They will figure out how to keep Peyton on his heels just enough for the Pats to take this one I imagine, especially considering the likely weather conditions.

They will be wearing their whites. It's their road uniform.

Still holding with the Pats. Best throwing defense in the league. If it'd been the Chiefs with their running game, I might say different, but the Pats just have an overwhelming throw defense.

Plus, Tom Brady's on fire just as much as Manning, but Gumbel hasn't been on his knees in front of Brady like Dierdorf has for Manning.

Pats 21, Colts 10.

Yes. And yes. Never said weather wouldn't be a factor. I dont think. Did I? I just said where's the evidence it'll effect the Colts more than the Pats.

Besides, it's supposed to be around 30 at gametime anyway. Hardly challengingly cold conditions for professionals.

Pats defense holds Manning to under 200 yds, pick him off twice, Past offense capitalizes on them an wins 24-10.

As I am sure you know, that one was not my prediction, but yours. I made a mistake in coding. OPPS!

It will be a close game most of the way. A late Smith TD will seal it. Pats 27 Colts 17

I just checked the weather.com website for a weather update.

Daily high: 32F 0C
Nightly low: 14F -10C

Game begins at 3 o'clock so it will likely be about 32 at gametime. However, since sunset is at 4:41, the temperature will begin declining right around gametime and I suspect that it will fall to about 20-22 degrees during the second half. Few show showers are predicted, so there is some chance that this game will be played in the white, where Indy's white uniforms will be a distinct disadvantage and Peyton's passing game will be at least somewhat affected. Wind is expected to be minimal at about 5 MPH/8 KPH from the south.

This is the warmest forcast day in the forcast period, so it seems reasonable that if this is in error, it may be colder than this forcast predicts.

Peyton Manning is this year's hottest and best quarterback in the NFL, but the Colts have no chance on colder weather in New England

Colts 17

Brady will throw 3 TD's and about 250 yards. Smith/Faulk will combine for 125 yards rushing and a TD.

Manning will throw for about 270 yards and two TD's, to go along with two INT's and one fumble. Vanderjagt will miss a field goal.

Actually it was mine.

Eff it, let me change my prediction.

Peyton has another perfect game against the Pat's so-so secondary, and the Colt's D shows up for it's semi-monthly good game.

Colts 38, Pats 10.

If I'm going to be wrong, I wanna REALLY be wrong. Hell, I'm even a native New Englander.

It isn't too late to change predictions, but the chances of snow during this game have increased since the last time I checked. Show Showers at game time: Probability is now up to 40%, though the forecast high is up to 35 (was 32), but again, the temperature will start going down as the game progresses due to the start time.

Colts wearing white in a snow storm? If it happens, and it seems increasingly likely, Peyton is going to have fun finding his targets in the snow.

You keep bringing this up but I didn't see the Raiders have anymore trouble against the Pats two years ago in that infamous tuck rule game.

Also, you might not know this, but the Colts defeated the Broncos last year in Denver, in a snowstorm,..........they were wearing white.

Perhaps Brady is going to have fun not seeing a Colts defender in the snow and throwing it right at him?

Enough with all the intangibles let's play football and may the better team win.

Brady generally throws lower risk passes than Manning, especially for that kind of weather.

Regardless of the weather, it should be a good game. I just hope that nobody get hurt if the weather is sloppy and of course the Pats get the V.

Perhaps the spectator index is "1" for anyone else, but I love going to snow games. I have been to two of them, including the infamous "snow plow" game. Wasn't at the "tuck rule" game though. Interesting things always happen in the snow.
