Last year, the entire city of New York was hit with a tragedy so severe that no American could possibly have even imagined could happen ahead of time. In the mourning aftermath of this cataclysmic event, Americans and foreigners alike have rallied around everyone and everything from New York as a symbol for all that is right and true and good in this world. New York has become a focal point for the world to look at to what great people can do under the most horrible of situations. Nothing since that awful day representative of that great city has been held as anything less than heroic and of good nature. Every team, every group, every person from New York has been held in high regard by the wonderful people of this still kind world - and all in deserved fashion.
Until this week.
You children are a disgrace. You are horrible, horrible children and the world hates you - and it's not like they didn't try to like you. You brats went out of your way to make the world embarrassed to watch you by being abrasive, pompous, disrespectful cocks. You are evil, evil children deserving of nothing more than to be beaten over the head with the aluminum bat that you hold in your hands.
And as for Andrew Diaz and the little fat kid that called his non-homer then carried on like a half-twit Sammy Sosa, I wish you nothing but utter failure and total disgrace in your short baseball careers. Chances are, you'll never actually have a baseball life after this, but I hope you have failure in whatever it is that you do go on to do. You have terrible, rotten parents and they should be shot for rearing such bad seeds in this world.
I'm sure they're very proud to have to admit that you share their genes.

I've been watching the Little league World Series every year for over a decade now and I never have seen a kid do a celebration after a home run similar to what that kid from NY did. I have to think it's a cultural issue. These kids from NY are black and hispanics who live in poor neighborhoods. Most of the teams in the US who make the LLWS are made up of white surburban kids. Not one single one of them celebrated after a home run like that kid did. Where talking about over 50 yrs worth of baseball here. Their taught by their coaches that its poor sportsmanship to do so. If it's not cultural then its definately the decay of society in modern times. I'm sorry but I don't think a white surburban 12 yr old would wave bye bye to the baseball and do a dance while crossing the plate. ITS NEVER EVER HAPPENED BEFORE IN THE LLWS! First time it happens its a player of black/hispanic race that does it. Like I said it's cultural. I don't think Asain or Chinese kids would do that either. If their from the hood they might if their middle class then probably not. Stuff like that is excepted in their community. Its not accpeted and done in the surburban white commiunity thats why people are shocked and stunned when they see it happen.

Just remember children are the best mimics in the world. They are copying what they see at home, on TV and in the playground. The subject and content of your thread should have been contained in the last sentence since it dealt with the reason why kids act this way. The real blame goes to the parents and coaches that allowed the kids to get away with this behavior. I bet the coaches believe there's nothing wrong with it too. At age 11 and 12 these kids need to be disciplined and given direction. Too bad the parents and coaches have failed miserably at this.
Sorry, but your reaction that it's a black and hispanic thing is racist bull-shite! A majority of blacks and hispanics know enough not to do that. Being hispanic, your remark really pisses me off. Blame the parents and the attitudes that exist in certain neighborhoods and don't condemn an entire race or people.

You're a ********in' idiot.
But then again, you're a fan of the french, so what else shoud we expect.
This is not a race issue. This is simply parents and coaches not being able to say no to children. This is about not knowing how to control a child. Yes, children mimic what they see. However, a more astute, learned child knows what not to repeat. And besides, I've never in my entire life seen what little Mr. Jackass did on his way to the plate last evening in any major league game. What he did was all unto himself and he should be taught a lesson for it.

Well how come the first time something like this has ever happened in the World Series it was a minority who did it not a white kid ? Why was it not done 10, 5, 2 years ago by a surburban white kid ? In the last few years we have had some US teams in the World Series from NY who have predomintely black and hispanic on their rosters. This hasn't happened before in the past hence the home run shenanigans haven't occured before. Thats not a racist statement it shows that those kids were raised and brought up differently than the white surburban kids.or else why haven't they done this before because its not in their nature or blood. White kids who are poor and are punks are more likely to do it.

Dear SpitBoy,
You are so right. I don't know what gets into those minority kids.
Sincerely,

It ain't the coach they have right now. He's been getting all over them about it the times I've watched.

Oh boy is that ever some good logic, there, Jimmy.
So what have you been doing with yourself since you got fired from CBS, anyhow?

Ok look US teams in the LLWS history generally have all white teams or 1 or 2 blacks on hispanics on a team. The 2nd time ever there is an all minority team from the US this incident happens. So I ask you why did something like this not occur with all those predominately white teams before. Why, Why Why. Why did it happen the 2nd time ever there is an all hispanic-black team. You think its a coinsidence.

I agree. And when he's not on his kids, he's on his assistant coach.
Amazingly, he's the only one with any semblance of class out there for that team.
I think that man rues the day he took this job. This is the problem with teams like this - he's playing league all stars here and it's much harder to curb that kind of behavior when you don't know the kids all that well.

By your logic, why didn't it happen last year? I mean after all, they were black. Shouldn't they have been carrying on like lunatics and gloating the whole time they were in town?
I watched that team. None of this happened.

What do you mean? I've NEVER seen any white athlete ever celebrate a score or a game win before. Certainly no white soccer player would EVER think to put on some gaudy exhibition upon scoring a goal...

He hasn't taken one out of a game, has he?
Actions speak louder than words. Always have, always will.
I'm waiting for a pitcher to plunk the next batter after one of these displays. Then we'll know the kids are aaaalllll grown up.
