we won 2-1 at home to 1st div Dundee in the 4th round of the Scottish Cup. they were more than a level below us and it should have been far more comfortable than it was, but once again, our keeper had another nightmare.

Artur Boruc's stock is falling faster than Roman Abramovich's in the current credit crunch.

They won 2-1 in the cup. Not before some good Scottish goalkeeping by Boruc though ;)

My average draft position is 3.833 which is worse than a serpentine draft. Plus I don't get my first pick in a round until Round 10. Would have hoped it would have occurred by round 6.

Bottom line. I'm not a fan of the random draft order every round.

That said, with only 6 managers, we should all be able to draft quality teams.

Let the games begin.

Haven't done all the math, but for Tarvindos, his total of draft positions was 44; mine was 46; and frasermc was 40. Lower is better.

I pick Gerrrard. I wished I picked him in the Champions League and have Ronaldo in all rocks and his price tag is a royal pain in the ass that has caused me all sorts of problems

Nice to see that things are on a roll.

Does being a fan of the Random Draft depend on how high a ranking someone believes they have?

Maybe at the end of the tournament you'll all be fans, as it's all randon through each round of the Cup.

How 'random' you are in the quarter-finals and semi-finals might make a difference, but not at this stage; where the tealeaves say that Southend are going to beat Chelsea in their replay.

It will be interesting to see what your Excell sheets give out for the rest of the teams; the subsequent FA Cup round drafts; and the comparison with the end result.

Sadly, I've never got the hang of Excell, so I'll just stick to the website side of things.

While we're on the subject of draft order stats, I believe that with six managers doing 12 rounds that would equal to

(1+6) x (12/2)

or 7 x 6 = 42 (for a Serpentine Draft)

I guess with a little more time, we could have made a 'Random Every Other Round' type of draft, where the randomness was 'more calculated' to give everyone a draft of 42..... but this 'total randomness' with 'no logic' thrown in, works for me; as drafting is all about some luck and a lot of fun - and it's fun seeing some presumed handicaps thrown into the equation.

I've just seen that I follow Mark (kopiteinkc) two rounds in a row.

He'll be picking Red and I'll be going Blue, in the Merseyside derby.

I have to drive to work right now -- yeah I know it's Sunday. I should be able to make my pick about 12:30 central time once I get situated at the office and check in with other staff.

It's scary I know, but I am the boss today! :eek:
