All right. I changed to a week of passing training, since my stamina was all good. I only had one pop, but it was a winger, so its all good. Best news, 3 experience pops. Bad news overall form loss. Still happy though.

OK...now where are the Edmond Rovers.

13 stamina pops all up one level, just two form drops, but they both dropped two levels :(

Two experience jumps after the cup match.

I did get two form increases for my two 18 year olds and they also increased in stmaina. So a good week.

Very tough away match for me on Sunday. Hate to start the season with a loss, but I think I will.

Well after one week of PM training, I already have my first excellent, my captain poped the first week of training it. :D

I hope to have my first excellent this season. I delayed it by running a stamina/passing camp at the end of last season.

I had an experience pop, and a PM pop (a defender no less) this week. But my form stayed the same - sort of.... I had too many starters (2 or three) drop 2 levels this week. Was hoping on better form with me going up against the #1 this Sunday. I had a nice wrinkle to open the season with but am now debating whether or not to hold it off for the final MOTS of the season when I host the #1.

Kansas City... when would be a good nite (or day for that matter) at Charlie Hoopers? There are no KC Wizards games to watch, I'm open to suggestions. Anything happening that we could take advantage of like premier league games on the telly? Or would an off night work better...?

Mark and I usually go on a Friday night (like tonight for example :D) I'm not sure what the other days look like there, but Fridays make for a great way to unwind after working all week. If you are coming in on the 13th, I would say we go on the 19th.

Any time, any place, anywhere works for me.

I trained stamina this week...I just love stamina...itmakes pretty colors all over Hattrick Forever...Stamina pops in green...it was like St. Patties day...only my coach and one injured player did not pop :-) And I didn't take any major form hits (yet...).

Finally found out that I won my Open Cup match 0-1...sort of disappointed in my ratings...but once my last IM hits solid stamina in a week or two, i'll be pulling passable midfields...woo hoo!!!!

There may be stuff buried way back in this thread but I'm too lazy to look through 120 pages.

Anybody have any suggestions for playing against AIM? I'm facing an opponent [edit: he plays a 3-5-2] whom I believe I match up evenly against (we split our matches last season).

In the Hattrick rules it says that using AIM weakens wing defense. I weighed whether I should play one of my wingers toward the middle (I play 3-4-3), but then I was surprised to see that playing a winger TM causes less defense from that winger. So I guess I'll play more agressive on the wings. Oddly enough telling an IM to play TW doesn't change his defending, even though doing the same for a central defender does. Go figure.

Normally I play a symetrical 3-4-3. Should I reposition a wing back to forward instead so that I have two center backs?

Thanks for the help.

Ummm, I'm leaving tomorrow morning, will arive tomorrow night. Maybe we meet on Friday the 12th at Charlie Hoopers. Not a bad idea for me as I should get paid that day. If I get paid, I'll buy the first round. When's a good time?

Why not play with two central defenders, abandoning the side of his weakest wing attack. Then be sure to play offensive wingers to take advantage of his weakened wingback defense.

Back when i used to spend more time with seeding in the Lone Star Cup (v9.0 is this season), I based things on the club's cup match where they were eliminated. It went a little something like this:

((X*Y)+Z)/10

X = HatStats Rating
Y = Round eliminated in US Open Cup (weighted)
Z = Total # of stars earned

Cup rounds were weighted in a way to where you were boosted for losing later rather then sooner. The last time I seeded a cup this way I used the following weights:

Round 1 = 1.00
Round 2 = 1.20
Round 3 = 1.40
Round 4 = 1.60
etc, etc, etc............

I divided the results by 10 just to get a manageable number.

Not the best system, but it seemed to work when dealing with clubs at more or less the same level.

When you click on "my hattrick", it lists on the white section at the right how somebody had outbid or challenged you. It used to be that you could delete it whenever you wanted to. They changed it so that once you click on to look at it, it gets deleted automatically.

Its harder for me to keep track of players that i bid on. Are you sure that's a permanent change? It looks like something that might have happened temporarily while they're getting the performance issues sorted out.

Wow that's an early night. ;) Usually my nights don't start til around 10. LOL But that doesn't matter cause that'd only be 4 in KC. Anways, no new hattrick news really, bought one new winger to complete a full b-side. Also has decent stamina so I don't have to worry about that. Made the deal mainly because one of my current wingers is getting to the age where you start losing skills. He will be on the transfer list soon though. Which means I'll be shopping again to get a new full b-team. It's an endless cycle.

I'm looking into buying a player with excellent experience and I found a player that is cheap to fit the bill. Funny thing is, the owner has a coach the same age, but with worse experience, but yet is selling the guy with better experience. *shrugs* I'll take it.

Oh yeah, download hattrick buddy, it does wonders. :)
