2 game league winning streak!! Beat the former 2nd place team (now fallen to 4th) 3-0 to clinch 6th place and a qualifier.
One of my better playmakers (which isn't saying much) got a red card, but it didn't matter b/c my opponent didn't name any subs, so when one of his players got injured, it was 10v10. I wonder if he threw the game (why?) of if he's abandoned the team (weird, b/c he was one of the better teams in the conference).
So I've got a playoff against a bot (who looks very beatable)(knock on wood) to get me some income this offseason, and the #1 from our league (who dominated) has a playoff against an ok team from iv. We'll see how next year shapes up. I think next year will be another struggle to avoid autorelegation (although we supposedly have one bot team autopromoting, so that will make things a little easier).
My main goal for next season is training. I need to get my traing regimen set up and start churning out some keepers to make some money so I can buy better mids and forwards (and make my youth team better).
I know that I can train fewer players when training keepers, but I thin that keepers are the rocks of the team, and there are fewer trainees I need to buy to get started. Also, good keepers seem to go for lots of dough.....what do y'all think?

I don't think keepers get you the most bang for the buck, but I don't think they're far enough behind for it to be particularly noteworthy. You get some benefits: Fewer trainees required, formation and tactical flexibility (I play both 3-4-3 and 3-5-2, and keeper training is the only one that allows this particular pair of formations without sacrificing training, and I take advantage of the elevated defense ratings by playing my CD offensive), improvement in just one player increases three ratings.
My ex-primary trainee is up for $2.95 MM right now at outstanding, although I'm planning on relisting later in the week at a lower asking price.

First question, no after the qualification game on next Sunday there is a dead week with no game the next Sunday. Then the next Wednesday the cup starts. I think I got that set up right.
Banyuls is up to 713K. Oh my dear lord. Who would have thought.
THat is so unfair, I need a good sell like that for my team so I can be closer to getting the coach of my dreams.

Why lose on purpose? What does that gain you instead of trying?

I'm as surprised as everyone else. It was just a solid PM/passer. Hattrick Buddy said 220K. Who would have thought? :)

If you're bored in the 'offseason' I suggest you work on your websites for your HT team. Or if you don't have one, get one via HT-arena. Brays Bayou and I have both been busy on our sites as of late...
We could use some company over there. :)

Mongrel FC finished second in a squeaker of a last game. Pulled out a 2-1 win against the best D in the conference. Finishing was just good enough to pull it off, probably due to a recent passing training program.
Trying to retool for next season currently. A better Div IV team is coming down to my series. Not a lot better, but enough to be noticable. He might be untouchable. Trying to sell some of my players and get myself into the black so that I have some nice wriggle room financially.

PS- My posting problems must be related to my home PC (or they were fixed last night). I had some Ad-Ware/Browser HiJack issues that I resolved at home. I wonder if my heightened home PC security may be preventing my ability to post on BS. Any ideas?

I finished the regular season with a 2-1 MOTS loss to Knights of the Apocalypse. The match was tied until around the 80th minute, and had I stole the win I would've won my series. Instead I slipped down to 3rd place. I'm not complaining.
As some of you may know, USA II.3 was about as close a series as you can get. At season's end only 5 points seperated 1st and 8th place. I feel fortunate to have come in 3rd place. I started the season 0-0-3 (0 pts), but finished 6-3-2 (21 pts) and almost won the whole damn thing.
I sure hope next season is less stressful.

Well I don't have a HT-arena site, but I'll be doing work on my tripod site, http://kuhnscoot.tripod.com/ right now it's for both my hattrick and MFLS site, but I may change that just cause it seems over whelmingly large right now. I too though will need to retool a little, it looks like a decent team is coming down from Div IV and they should walk through the division unless some of our teams make some, I'm right now aimming for for a 2nd or 3rd place finish next season, and then for the title in season 23, but winning it next season is not that far off of an idea for me to think about though.

It sure was exciting to follow, when I remembered to check in on you that is. Kinda hard for the supporterless to bookmark those things. Congrats on your survival in II.3 and please don't forget to remind us how you're doing. I'd have love to have heard more from you as the season went on.

I had started a site there earlier but had not done anything with it. I will now be updating it and giving it that homey feel.

The nice thing about HT-Arena is that it will handle some of the updates automatically via a CHPP interface. e.g. it will automatically download your squad, your league standings, your league fixtures.

Editing my web site so it looks a bit decent and also adding the links.
Also changing the name of it to http://www.geocities.com/tweeder1321/dallasredknights.htm

You've got some broken links - at a minimum, the ones to hattrick and BigSoccer are entered as relative links.
