Does anyone know of a sure fire way to determine what they are getting out of their training regimens? I am sure the web has many websites, I have been unable to find them.

I"m not sure what you mean exactly, but there are numerous programs that will help you track your training. I use Hattrick Buddy for this myself. Its training page keeps track of percentages based on coach's skill level and the other factors involved in training.

Keep in mind training is a long term thing - pick one thing and stick with it (after taking care of your stamina of course). It depends on the age of your players & level of your coach. I typically only see one playmaking 'bump' per player on my team each season. Training regimens such as winger train faster and you'll likely see your winger trainees bump twice in a season.

I keep track of mine on a spreadsheet and via Hattrick Assistant Manager.

I use the latest version of Hattrick Forever, and it does a decent job now of tracking training.

Anyone got any links to those and are they free?

Anybody have any ideas (whether their yours or they're taken off the web or an assistant manager program)? One thing I'd specifically like to learn about is IM's. How bad does an IM's passing have to be before it's a good idea to put in an IM with worse playmaking but better passing?

More like 4/5 to 7/8 defending for the wingbacks. Probably the same for forwards with scoring. Inners should have at least solid stamina. Always. Then I'd say 4/5 playmakin and 1/10 passing and defending.

Well, one more friendly. One more loss. Pulled off three goals and almost rallied from three down. I love this game.

Well next week how about one at Rangers Park. ;) With the way my second team has played, it's yours for the taking. :)

You're on. But rest assured, I'm sure you'll still pull this off, no matter how bad your b-team is playing.

Well, I've been selling a number of my players in order to raise some cash and avoid the offseason blues (You get no big game revenue in the offseason). I've been rather pleased with the experienced veterans that I cheaply acquired for my defense. So as a result, I've been parting with some of my younger defensive players so that maybe they can be trained or find a good home.

I'm hoping also that my injured players will hurry up and heal so I can drop the 10 doctors. My injured guys are down to 1 wk and 2 wks so I'll likely fire the doctors before the next economic update.

I should win my final season game against the Angry Killer Bees, but my fellas are furious after the MOTS last week. It should bump up some prior to the game due to my decent leadership coach. AKB runs a pretty good defense, but I should dominate midfield at home with my 3-5-2. We'll see. Oh, and this is the last game of the season, so it's definitely a MOTS for me. AKB is auto relegating. Such a shame. When I joined this series last season, they were one of the better teams. Had a lot of promise. I don't know what the owner is doing but he logs on often enough. Oh well.

The series #1, Flyingnunes, is set for autopromotion. Right now he'd be sending a much better team down to my series. I'm hoping that will change after the next game. Next year is looking to shape up as some pretty good competition among the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place teams. But I expect the 4th place Crimson Pheonixes to struggle mightily against our series newcomers from this year. One of them joined very late last season and is surviving this year via a playoff game (if he wins). The other one is brand new this season and is also in a playoff game. They are equal or better than the Crimson Pheonixes. Good to see some decently run teams in my group. This thing is getting more and more competitive as the lazy owners are slowly weeded out.

Well almost the end of the season, and unlike you gunner, I'm looking to pick up one more player to train for next season. I'm looking to get a defender, more specifically a wing back, with inad winger and at least passible defending. It's hard as I'm not on when the aution ends, cause I'm doing other stuff so I miss out, but hopefully I can pick up a defender that is close to poping before next season starts so that I can bolster my defense for next season and possibly make a run at the series this next season. The first place team in my division is almost garunteed to autopromote unless he gets spanked this next weekend. Should bring down a decent team in it's place. That would leave me as the only team that is still the same in my division from when I joined. Next year seems to probaby be between me, the 2nd place team and probably the team that demotes, unless it's an abandoned team like last year. I shouldn't have any trouble with my oppent this week, he's in 7th and only took over the team a week or two ago. He does seem to like to attack though, as he has all his mids and one defender as offensive. Hopefully my decent defense can hold his offense, and my much improved offense can light up his defense. He is within striking distance of a playoff spot though so I don't know what he'll do. A win for me and I can take third, which means more money.

[happy dance] Two PM pops, 7 form increases (one of 2 levels).[/happy dance]

It was a good day for the Dynamo. I have put another player on the transfer boards. Solid PM (23266614) with some other good skills including defending. One of the two transfers I picked up 2 weeks ago popped (the other popped last week).

OK folks, time to pick the BS brain trust. I have a full load of IM trainees. But the rest of my team is of course lagging behind. In looking to fortify the other parts of my team, what should I look for? Bear in mind I will relegate to VI at the end of the season. Should solids in the appropriate primary skill be good enough?

Anybody else MOTSing their last match for no other reason than to put a hurting on their opponent?

Jonas Fabian Bruggemann (Swiss, aged 20) popped to outstanding keeper tonight. He'll be on the market within the next week or so, probably starting at $2.5 MM.

Helghallen -- solid primary skills should be fine as a first step, as in most cases it will be at least one and possibly two steps up from what you have already. It's cheap, relatively speaking, and it should carry you out of VI and even well up into V (although I think you'll need at least two or three significant upgrades to promote to IV at that point).

Solid as a primary skill should be fine for you to easily promote back to DV next season without a problem.

Hell yeah.

In fact my opposition will be MOTSing as well as they are fighting for their lives to stay up.

He is a strong team but screwed up earlier in the season. I am hoping to MOTS and send him down as the other team trying to stay up is weaker than he is. Anything to make my job easier next season. :)

Good training week for me, I now have 1 outstanding and 3 formidable inner mids in my starting 11. I play one of the formidable's towards the middle.

One of my young trainees popped to passable and he already has excellent passing. Star for the future if I keep training him.

Not looking forward to the off season tho -- boring :(

Yup. Not much to lose. I'd drop no lower than 3rd, but want to hold onto second. My last game this season, so yes, I'm MOTSing.
