raised my weekly youth investment to 10,000 as suggested on here. I will wait for youth squad to go from inadequate to passable before trying to pull any however.

One of my 3 passable teenage keepers now at 92,000 with bidding closing tomorrow, this should put me at 500 grand in the bank by the end of the week.

I would have just enough money to pay for a passable coach with passable leadership. Now I have inadequate and passable.

Is it worth it to spend this money on this? My whole team are teenagers with passables that I'm trying to build up. My understanding is a better coach builds them up faster, but of course I would be pretty much broke at this point.

Suggestions?

How is your Stadium? If you're selling out consistantly you should think about expanding.

He has better form than more regular keeper, but poor compared to weak, not sure what to do with him. Any ideas?

Do you have a back up keeper Chris?

If not, I'd keep him for an injured keeper crisis. if you do have a better back up, then send him to Valhallah. :D

I guess ol' Blake gets to hang around for a while.

Not a bad game. I won midfield, but couldn't finish/create enough chances (missed a PK!) to pull this one off. I also lost my star player at the end of the game for 6 wks. Gonna try to get him back for the end of the season and definitely in time for the cup.

I'm now in 3rd place. The new #2 should lose to the series leader in the next couple of weeks, otherwise I have no or little shot at retaking second.

Sold out my newly expanded stadium of 20k. Made some nice money. Course it's all going to pay for doctors and lawyers.

Ow!! My star player continues on his hot streak with another goal. My stamina is horrible and it costs me every game since I was tied at the break.

Let me just say, I'm still so amazed by the Live feature. I was able to watch 3 games simultaneously. Cool.

I "watched" that on HT-Live. Pretty amazing match. I too love the HT-Live feature.

I managed to win 4-0, keeps me in third and mathematically I can't go down now!! :D

Other results in my series kinda went my way too. For the first time ever, I got a formidable midfield rating, very cool.

I had a player sent off today. Does his suspension come for my midweek friendly or for next weekend's league game?

It's for your next competetive match. If you had a cup game it'd be for that, but since you're not in the cup still it'll be the next league game.

hattrick buddy says his best position is as an offensive inner mid at 3.67...but i think ppl will c his playmaking as wretched and be turned off. any idea what i should list him as? Your only hope is that a clueless newbie sees the passable passing and thinks this player might actually be worth something. None of the primaries are worth buying, so any player with a clue is going to pass on this guy. I'd just fire him, myself, but as I said, maybe you could get a n00b to spring for him.

Is it worth it to spend this money on this?If you want to spend a lot of money on a coach, get a solid coach with poor leadership, which IIRC is $200-odd k. I don't think it's really worth it to get a higher leadership coach using external recruiting, better to do it by promoting a player with good experience.

My match today was a train wreck of the most frustrating kind. Two weeks ago, I suffered overconfidence which sucked, but it at least made for a semi-logical result. This game, we went in with strong confidence and many of our players in good form. Two of my best starters were out suspended and TS sucked from an MOTS last week, but I still figured I'd see decent results.

Despite a 58/59% to 42/41% possession advantage, we created one scoring chance and one (missed) penalty. We gave up two special event goals (a corner and an unpredictable event). I wound up sending my outstanding left side attack against my opponent's outstanding right side defense (right side was solid, against my inadequate attack). We carried the ratings 57 to 47. I'm mired in a three game winless streak and a two game shutout streak, and my supporters are pissed off.

Basically, this sucks.

does anyone know how long it takes to train "shooting" (and not scoring)? I've been looking for this everywhere but couldnt find it.

My match today went as expected, a 6-2 lose to the series leader, I am now tied with the number 5 team who I have next week. I am MOTS that game so that I can try to pull away from him again, because my two after that are brand new teams that I should beat. I am to the point mathmatically where the lowest I can finish is 5th, but I can move up to third, because the current third place team is new as well, and only 5 points up. So if I win my last three, and he loses 2 of them I should be able to finish in third which would be nice.

I lucked out and scored a huuuuge 2-2 away draw against Trogdor the Burninator. Hatstats will show that I had a 108 rating to his 124.

Anywho, since 3 of the 4 matches in II.3 were also draws, I didn't gain any ground. I actually dropped a spot to 4th place. I'm still only a point out of 8th, and now I'm 4 points from 1st.

Next week's match against Sporting Loxahatchee is huge. My next 2 matches are at home, and will decide my fate. I'm 3-1-1 at home so far this season.

Have I mentioned how much I love the new ticket prices thing. :D I was gonna be in debt after this week, but due to 18K showing up in the new expansion to my stadium, I am now gonna be over 100K. Which is so sweet, if I keep this up, by the end of the season I may be able to buy a solid coach. Then watch out division IV cause here I will be coming.

If it's not available, it's because all the people who care about tracking that sort of thing have decided that there's little point to training shooting. I don't recall which skills it trains, but the problem is that it trains two skills at a reduced rate, rather than one at a full rate, and as a result doesn't produce good players in either skill.

Basically, if you're thinking about doing it, I'd recommend picking one of the two things that shooting trains and sticking to it.

it trains scoring and set pieces for all outfielder that played. So theoretically, u could train up to 20 forwards at once. More realistically, probably up to 12 or 13.

i dont know why no one trains this. perhaps the rate that the scoring improves is much too slow? If it trains at 50% of scoring, i reckon it is worth it to traing shooting. If it trains at 30% of scoring, i'd rather not.
