Oh and I couldn't help, but jump into the transfer market, but I only made one bid on a 17 yr solid winger/set pieces from Sweden. Got him in the last seconds at $62k. I had to have pissed someone off. :)

I see you're spending my money already ;)
Check your HT mail, I sent you a URL for a badge for your team. Let me know what you think.

As someone without any brains, I feel qualified to answer this 'no brainer'. ;)
Bishop is Passable experience. Parkinson 'might' be inadequate next year. Go with Bishop unless you have some other reason to favor waiting for Parkinson. Heck, I'd wait until the end of the season (or at leatest until your current guy drops to weak leadership) just to see if Bishop pops to solid.
just my 3 cents worth.

I have 6 and they help me bring in almost 55,000 from sponsors a week. And an economist can help as well, but if he isn't pulling his own salary then he's not worth it.
I can make close to 90,000 a week when I have a home game, which easily covers my youth pulls for two weeks of $20,000 investment, plus whatever I sell the player for. It is worth it to invest full in your youth system.
how do u figure out a players cost of upgrade?

something tells me i'm not going to be able to keep up, from what i'm reading this seems like a really involved game. can anyone reassure me that it doesn't seem as crazy as it looks?

It's not as crazy, it's just addicting, once you get started, you don't want to stop, I'm on winter break right now, so I have so much free time to do things with my team. There are certain things that are crazy and do take some time to work with, like the transfer list and such, but for the most part it's a fun game that you can do as much as you want or as little as you want with the team and still enjoy it.

Hi, my handle is GenghisKahn and I've been a Hattrick addict since week 4 of season 20....
Welcome aboard! Man, have we done something right lately? We've had a nice bunch of additions this season.
Kuhnscoot is right. HT will take as much or as little time as you let it.
At the bare minimum, you can log in once a week. I suggest twice a week at least. Once, late on Saturday or early Sunday to set up your roster for the weekly league match. Then again before Wednesday's Friendly/Cup games. That's the minimum. For the rest of us, HT's siren call lures us in regularly. I've been working from home lately to keep an eye on a sick kid - so I've had plenty of time to freely feed my habit. ("Here kid have another bag of candy")
Not to mention that most of us feel rather important and think we know everything and will be happy to give you advice that you'd do well to verify before implementing... ;)
What's your team name, what nation and location did you ask for? Best of luck to you.

You can click on hire new coach and go through the process to find out how much the conversion will cost. Just be sure not to click on the final hire/accept button.

higher the experience the player has, cheaper it is to train him to make a solid/excellent coach. Leadership is transferred directly.
There also is a minimum experience a player must have to become a coach.

I'll post the First Round groups next. I think there are 4 BigSoccer posters who are Federation members and made the cut this season.

We spend a lot more time talking about it. :p

As is said, it may not require another login, many times other people will challenge you and all you'd have to do is accept the challenge from that team, many times you'd get an international friendly that way, which while good, is also hard because of the money for traveling.
On another note, I won another game in the V and VI Cup last night, over the Maryland Renegades 4-2, waiting to hear on my next friendly game in the cup so I can set it up before I leave for London and have limited internet access for a semester, it's gonna kill me not being able to log on to hattrick as much, I'm gonna have to go to the bare minimum of logins.

I lost my friendly cup game, I played my young inexperienced midfield and expected to lose.
I tried the counter attacking tactic and so did my opponent. Now he won the possession battle quite easily (more than 70%) but managed a counter attacking goal against me! What gives!?
I thought the lower midfield got the benefit of counter attack?

Very strange indeed. Got a match Id or gimme your team ID - I'd like to see it. Double check (I'm sure you already have) and then report it.

Logged in today and found out I have three new supporters, after doing nothing really gamewise (couldn't schedule a Wednesday friendly in time). Weird. Perhaps the people of Colorado are beginning to catch "Flatirons Fever". Or is this a function of hiring 2 spokepeople?
I know there's been a little discussion of spokespersons before, but nothing really in depth--what's a good number to get? And have there been any studies on the marginal benefits of SPs? After some number does their effectiveness wear off?
Thanks.....
