i recently sold a 18 yo solid striker/poor passing for 300,000. You could sell your 17 yo for probably close to twice that amount.

I think its probably wiser to sell him now then to train his winger skill, since those two skills are not required in one position.

Actually... looking for a player, i found one real similar to yours in Sverige. Current bid at 600,000. Due in 10 hrs.

My youth pull was a dany one. A 17 yr old who is as follows:

Stamina: weak Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: poor Passing: inadequate
Winger: passable Defending: inadequate
Scoring: solid Set Pieces: wretched

Stamina needs a little work, but I hope to get him to at least solid as a winger before the end of the season.

I'd sell him now, while he is 17, that magic number inspires insane bids. You could get $750,000 for this guy right now.

Especially if you post it on the youth pull thread and in the conferences ads section.

My youth squad is now inadequate. When will it get to passable?

I have almost all teens on my squad, 17-19, passable at their primary skills, two deep in every position.

I've also got 350,000 on hand and am likely to get relegated this season (but maybe not as there are two other teams in my division that are just as awful as me.

You need to invest more money to get your youth squad better,if you have 350,000 in the bank, then you need to invest more, most of the people here are investing the max, $20,000, mine is currently at solid, and should be going up to excellent soon I think, but if you want to get a higher rating on your youth program, you need to invest more. Sure for a while it might not pay off, but eventually you get that one big pull that sells enough to make up most of the money you'd lose on investment.

Almost halftime and I'm the victim of two successfull counter-attacks. I know I've got to upgrade my defense, but I'm a still a new team in the big scheme of things. Hope my time of possession (Gosh, 83%) will pay off and I can capitalize on more of my chnaces in the 2nd half.

Well, I got away with a tie. I PICd and didn't use all of my best players - and I decided to xperiment a little by playing my wingbacks at normal. I figured I was playing the worst team in our series and would at least win. Was really hoping to run up the score but his counter-attack against my weak defense was a big thorn in my side. Almost lost the game. Had my veteran winger injured and my other winger was double carded, that sure didn't help either.

As it stands now, I have a tenuous hold on second with a 1 pt lead. No margin for error. Oh, and I sold out at 14k as the #2 playing the #8. I surely need a stadium upgrade.

i won my match but at a pretty big price. 1 of my wingbacks got a red and my best center defender is now injured for 4 weeks. i hired a couple docs but i dont think thats really gonna do much.

Had a 2-nil lead, but thanks to my defensive coach, instead of going for more, they went back to a try and protect the lead and gave away three goals. One of my forwards almost got the 3rd, but someone stuck their foot in the way.

I can not wait until the end of the season when I can make one of my players coach. The guy will be 31 with weak experience, but passable leadership. He is going to be neither offensive or defensive so maybe that will help some.

To top it all off, it was raining and less that 8,000 showed up to fill the 17,000 stadium. GGGGGGRRRRRRR....

Well I lost my match at home 3-2, MOTS against the number 3 team, which leap frogged me. I now have matches against the number 2 and 1 teams the next two weeks, and I am only 6 points up on the number 5 team, who has two cake games. The third week though, I play him followed by the 8th and 6th team to end the season. I plan on PIC next week as I am away and don't have much of a chance in my opinion. My match the following week is at home, so I'll play that normal then MOTS again against the number 5 team hoping to get the win and stay ahead for good. I also lost my center defender, actually my back up central defender, because my starter is already injured. My starter should be back before my next game, but my back up is done for 4 weeks.

On the plus side, I sold out my stadium of 15,000, so I guess it's time to upgrade the stadium again, second time this season. I wanna get it upgraded this week before I have my home game against the number 1 team, which should also be a sellout. I think I'm going to upgrade to 19-20K.

My team wins 5-0, this puts us within 1 point of the leader.

Put in the work order to expand my stadium which will be ready by my next home game.

My opponent was 4th and I am in 3rd. I had lost 6-1 away to this guy a few weeks ago.

I went down 2 goals early, but had 59% possession and my first ever brilliant rating for midfield.

I came back with 4 goals and won 4-2!

I sold out my 55,000 stadium and got more than $300,000 for that :D

No injuries for me and my TS is now furious. Plan to PiC next week against a much stronger 2nd place team away from home.

I am very happy that I stuck with 3-5-2 and AiM. He played normal I believe.

Good idea, first I'm going to invest in some construction companies this week, and then I too will undertake a stadium expansion up to 20000. I've got one of those back-to-back home games coming up soon. Not to mention, at this moment, I'm only 5k in the hole.

Yeah, I am hoping that this upgrade will last me a little while, because I'm getting closer and closer to the red, and I'd like to stay in the black. I decided to upgrade to 19,000.

On another not, I just found out I got mother club money from a former youth pull who sold for $35,000, well I just looked at him, the guy that bought him is now trying to sell him for $123,000, with two inad, and three passables, the problem is, that the inad are in the primary areas (scoring, winger) while the passables are in less appealing areas, (stamina, passing, and set peices). It'll be interesting if he sells, cause I'll get $2460 in original club money if he sells.

What are your opinions? What's his playmaking? The stamina doesn't count for much if he doesn't have any playmaking.

I've got to go against the prevailing opinion on value, too... without decent playmaking, I wouldn't want to spend more than $20 000 for this guy, absolute maximum, and I'd probably be looking to spend a lot less.

I've got two players on my squad to compare. The first is Guillaume Polette. He's younger (25) and has solid winger, weak pm, inadequate stamina, weak passing and defending. He only cost me $40 000, which was the asking price in Schweiz (an active market). The second is Liviu Popescu. He's a little older (32), has inadequate playmaking and doesn't have the passing (weak) or set pieces your player has, and I only got him for $3000. Unless there's been massive inflation in the winger market, I think these players should have some value to you in estimating a sale price.

My youth squad is now inadequate. When will it get to passable?Never. You need a $10 000 a week investment to reach (and stick at) passable.

I have almost all teens on my squad, 17-19, passable at their primary skills, two deep in every position.Sounds expensive, considering only a portion of the squad will get trained. I generally aim to avoid younger players at a non-training position because I don't want to pay the trainee price premium if I'm not going to train.

I want to keep training to build these young players up, and then produce some decent young players that I can sell in order to drive my account up past $500,000.If you do your training right, it should get you more than $500 000. A lot more. I train gk, which means that my sales are all concentrated in a single player, but I'm expecting $2.5 MM when I sell my primary trainee at the end of the season. Income is comparable for the other major training regimens.

The value premium on multi-skilled players is much higher than the added transfer value, in my estimation. But even more generally, transfer price doesn't track all that well with assessed value.

Well I'm now deep in the hole again. I expanded to 20K. But I'd rather have that capacity and reap what was unclaimed income possibilities. I realize that some of my attendance was due to a nice win streak, but let's face it, I was hosting the #8 team and had a sell out. That and I wanted my stadium bigger in anticipation of hosting the #1 two league games from now. I SHOULD only lose one more game from here on out. Also, now my stadium will now be ready for cup play.

Now I can focus soley on training and buying a much better keeper. Once I get outta debt that is.
