Has solid experience and weak leadership abilities. This isn't a bad coach, although you might want to upgrade to a solid coach after you sell your trainee keeper.

My economy is as follows:

Cash funds: 400 110 US$ (379 172) US$
Sponsors: satisfied
Supporter Club: 1064 members
Supporters: satisfied

Total capacity: 7000
Terraces: 5000
Basic seating: 2000
Seats under roof: 0
Seats in VIP boxes: 0You need a stadium upgrade desperately. You should be able to add something in the neighborhood of 17 000 seats with your current cash. If you want to save a little for players, you can do a smaller upgrade, but you are very undersized for your supporter club. I'd recommend making sure that your new stadium is 62.5% terraces, 25% basic seating, 10% under roof, and 2.5% VIP boxes, or you can use an arena sizing tool like in some of the manager assistants or in Hattrix.

What is my first plan for action? Should I invest in new players? Should I hire a new coach? Should I start pumping my funds into the stadium to increase income? My youth set-up is excellent.
I have also been planning on selling my 20 year old outstanding gk. If I do, what skill range for a 17 year old is usually a sound investment? I am training gk’s right now, but really don’t know much about training either…Look to get about $2.5 MM for your outstanding keeper. With that much in the bank, I'd recommend getting a solid trainee in replacement (or two if you're only training one right now). Other than that, always schedule two games a week and play one keeper in one game and the other in the other.

Well I got my expected walkover 5-0 win and will get another one next week against the same team.

Of course I am PICing both matches. Which will rectify my furious team spirit!! :D

Halfway through the season I am in third, but it is very close between 2 through 5. Only one team remains in the cup so the other teams are now playing full strength in the league. That will make my second half of the season much tougher.

I'd be thrilled to finish fourth and avoid an awkward play off match. But I think I am destined to finish 5th.

I too got the walkover win, 5-1, but I was sweating early as they scored first, but 3 goals, a yellow, and another scoring opportunity for me in the final 3 minutes of the first half made it 3-1 in my favor. My captain had a hattrick for me, his first ever. I dominated play with 84% possession.
Next week should be much of the same. The funny thing is, is that the top four teams in my league all played the lower four teams, so I didn't gain any ground, but the lower half all fell off. I'm in 3rd, 6 points clear of a qualifier, so I am feeling pretty good about this season and actually not playing a qualifier. The top two though are running away though, I'm 5 behind second, and 8 behind first.

My walkover, was a true walkover, an abandoned team.

No injury scares, no cards, PiC and the only downside was my disappointed home fans!

Well the bottles of Budweiser were popping in the boardroom as my club Wilmington Showboats finally got out of the red after expanding the stadium. That will be the last time I go into debt...the only interest numbers I will want to see will be the kind coming into the club when my reserve hits 600K and I hire an economist.

My first acts upon hearing the news was to hire a full staff of coaches...unfortunately I couldn't count to 10 and lost $3,000 firing #11. Then I fired my psychologist...wish they could let you hire a priest...I need a blessing more than a shrink.

I have hit on a formula...every other week I set a cash reserve of half of my money left over. I can spend the other half. Then every week my new income comes in I add that to my reserve and split it again. By doing this I hope to have a growing bank balance that will get me to the magical 600K level.

My fans are delirious and the sponsors are dancing in the streets, and though it looks likely that we'll lose our next three games I still am hopeful to end up in the fourth position. At the end of the season I'll plan for a stadium expansion.

I maxed out my stadium this week vs the #2. I may need to upgrade my stadium after this season to avoid missing out on the potential revenue. I should hit 1000 supporters by the end of the season. I'm thinking, as a general rule, if you sell out to the top 4 teams, you should SERIOUSLY consider upgrading the stadium. That's four games that you could have earned substantially more income on but missed due to a small stadium. Don't we want more money to blow on transfers?

well in threatening weather i sold half my stadium. i had a little over 7.5k out of my 15k potential. pretty ugly though despite a draw, i lost my star winger for 5 weeks. he was ranked a 6.1 on hattrick manager. sucks :(

but i made about 50k on income and ended up above the red by about 60k finally. but i spent 40k off the bat on a passable midfielder with solid stamina. but he should work well as he might play better for more of the game i suppose.
ill find out on the 1/1 HT-time.

Try having six points after seven matches. Talk about devestated. This game sucks really bad right now. Worse, I'm the only mouthing off in the conferences. Apparently its too seriously competitive for people to joke around. If you want to sound obnoxious, try talking trash while you're bottom of the table.

I too will probably have to do the stadium enlargement later this season as well. I just had 12,000 people(of 15,000) show up for my game against the number 7 team in my league. If that trend continues, I'll need to upgrade for next season or later this season, as I still have the number 1 and 4 teams to travel to my place.

PS. I love the paid attendence increase this season for games. :D

Go down swinging I say, =)
or (and I can rarely pull this off) at least have a good put down.

"Watch me pummel your fists into oblivion with my face!"

"We suck so bad that my starting 11 are fighting for the position of water boy."

I've been bored lately between the weekly milestones and have resorted to arguing in the US/Global conferences. Nothing quite like cultural language differences to make the discussion challenging/interesting.

Amen to that. I'm real close to being outta debt. Some nice sellouts (still got to play the #1 at home and who knows who else might sellout) and adequate youth pulls will put me into the black even after hiring my new coach.

Greatest week of my Hattrick career. i've got my first ever solid (scoring) youth pull, upgraded stadium gets sold out on its first home game against the division leader, not to mention beating him 4-1.

I'm topping the division now but i dont want to be promoted, because i'm 99% sure i'm going to get killed. I should throw away my last 2 games.

i'm real lucky to be placed in a weak ass division (V.226).

Don't do that. Just don't AUTOpromote. Then during the promotion match, start your B team and PIC. - Extra training time, possible revenue, etc...

or you can start your A team and get them some experience against a higher level oppenent which is always a good thing.
Congrats on the solid youth pull, I'm still waiting for mine, the best I've pulled have been guys with 3 inad skills, and one guy that was a passable def and inad winger. Still waiting for that great youth pull that will bring in the big bucks to prove I made a good investment with the $20,000 a week.

Strike up the band, I just hit my 400 post Woo hoo go me. lol

Like gunner said too, not all league champs autopromote, and right now looking at it, you'd be playing a qualifier to try to move up to division 4. But looking at your division, it looks like it's you, and the guys that are in second and third, fourth seems to be a distant challenge by just looking at his GAA and his points. The bottom half of your series seems to be really bad, I mean -15, -22, and -22 GAA. DOn't throw away your last few games though, cause even if you get killed in a qualifier, it'll be worth it due to the money you get for finishing first, I can't remember what it is for D.V, but it's worth finishing first over.
The fifth place team doesnt' look bad if they could score goals, he seems to be a defensive trainer, I mean he has world class and titanic defense, you don't see that often in Div.V, if he could score he'd easily lead the table. I mean he tied the team in seventh this past week cause he couldn't score.
Your division, has some weaker teams in it, but those teams will probably get replaced and that can bring the competition up, I mean there is a team that promoted into my league that is in second place right now, it just takes time to develop the team and these guys dont' seem to be taking that time.

Hey guys. New manager here. I am in my second week of Hattrick and am finding it already fun. I took over a team that was doing OK in the middle of the season. I began investing $10000 per week right away in my youth team and hired the right amount of trainers/coaches/spokespersons. I have been playing with a 4-3-3 and have upped my experience with it to passable, so that is a plus. One thing I am worried about thought is my team spirit.
This past week I played the leader in the division (VI.42) and tied him 0-0. I made them play it as their match of the season and it seemed like that worked. Instead of being happy though, they are furious. I have been training at 90% defensive styled, so I am wondering if that might be the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?

after playing a game as match of the season it lowers their team spirit. to raise it u have to PIC, play it cool, which is the opposite of, match of the season (MOT)

i dont think playing 4-3-3 is such a good idea. this game is bit biased for good midfield. the team with better midfield will win 80 percent of the time even if their attack and defense arent as good. To strengthen the midfield, i'd at least play 3-4-3, and preferably 3-5-2
