My youth pull this week was a 17 year old passable defender and inadequate playmaker and winger.

I have him on the transfer list, I'll post it in the other thread.

Yeah, but you could get an excellent playmaker or scorer next week who is 17, and make that money back real quick.

Let us know if you have questions. There are some great players on here who all offer good advice.

Sometimes the thread is a little slow, so be patient, but generally if someone has a good question lots of responses come in quickly.

Usually when you get a new team it is kind of weak. How does your squad look?

Don't get discouraged and don't blow that $300,000 all at once (like I did!!)

Good luck!
haha sorry i was refering to the v and VI cup. sorry i should have made it clear. yeah, but i am only in my 2nd or 3rd week. but i did blow 149k. bad move.

my squad is getting a little better though. but not there yet. i just need to get money back so i can start poutting it into my youth squad.

You'll quicly outgrow your stadium at 8K. I upgrade day one to 14000 and I've sold out maybe twice. I'm consistently pulling in 10k fans though.

I pulled of a 3-0 pic at home. Lost two defenders though. My best WB for 7 wks and my CD due to cards.

You probably want to add more then 1000 seats next time you add on, no matter how many you add on, it helps to at least make the automatic $30,000 seem a little better. That said, I'd make your stadium at least 12,000 but how many supporters you have?

Got my ass handed to me tonight 5-1 at home in front of a record crowd to the second place team. The loss drops me another spot to fourth with the third place team this week. For those keeping track at home, Number 1 team last week, Number 2 this week, Number 3 next week, this had not turned out to be a great schedule for me.

Lost a 3 - 2 heartbreaker at home against the now #1 team in the series (had been leading them on goal differential). They'll be promoting at the end of the season (finally!) assuming they don't screw it up. We had leads of 1 - 0 and 2 - 1 before they scored two quick ones with about ten minutes left. Outchanced them 4 - 1 (two of their goals were winger special events), which kinda sucks.

I MOTSed, and the team is now furious. Oh well... they should get better during the week and I have a couple of PIC-able games coming up.

Good news:
- sellout crowd of 30 000, cha-ching!
- Two players popped from weak experience to inadequate experience.
- By keeping it close, my supporters are still high on life!

I managed to beat a better team at home 5-2.

It was 2-2 late and somehow my team scored three late goals to win it. Puts me in second, but 3rd and 4th have the same number of points. 1st place will go unbeaten, the rest of us are playing for second.

I was lucky that my opposition is still in the cup and he is playing his best line up there.

Some other teams in my series are still in the cup and concentrating on that too. That is giving me a false look in the standings, but I'll take it.

I am finally beginning to feel like a fully established div iv team now :)

My sponsor money is increasing still, ans is more than I planned on getting.

My long range outlook looks like I MAY break into the positive by the end of the season. Even more likely if I sell a couple of my trainees/youth pulls.

I've piced a lot of league games this year and from those games I have a 1-1-3 record.

Those three ties were my B team.

My team spirit is up nicely in time for my matches at the halfway point against what I consider my competition for #2.

He lost this week against our #3 team. After my early season ties, I need him to lose a few games here and there to have a shot at 2nd.

I cheaply bought a decent winger due to his excellent set pieces ability. He put the third goal away in my game yesterday. He might prove to be the difference in some close games down the road.

Been a decent season for me so far. I'm currently in #5 and will start to make my serious bid for the #2 spot shortly.

2. any good help sites? i am talking helpful strategy and the like.

i am doing decently well. i received the worst team in my division two weeks ago at 0 pts and i am so far undefeated. now i have six points and i won my last friendly. a couple of my players got knocked about in the last match so i might not do too well on sunday but everyone is coming along nicely.

1. its Play It Cool. your team plays a bit worse but it raises their spirit. oppisite of that is a MOT (match of the season)

Welcome aboard!
P.I.C. = Play It Cool
Option under team attitude on the match order page. Tells your players to take it easy during that match. The don't play at 100%. Usually managers have their team PIC because for a week after that game, the team's spirit (seen on the training page) will rise. The team spirit has some affect on your midfield rating. Also a team plays better when their team spirit is something good like 'delerious' as opposed to 'furious'.

I'm a mess. In eighth place, and likely to go out of the cup today. 3 points from 3 home matches. My form's been lame, and the two home losses were close, but after my match sunday night I dreamt there were two weeks left in the season and I'd already been auto-relegated. It was horrible, horrible.
So I sold two of my 3 off-season aquisitions, cleaned out my bank account, and bought a magnificent midfielder. Then I went into debt to name one of my players an attacking minded coach (the old one was defensive. i have the 2nd best defense in my league, but have conceded the most goals. Me nad the other guy who plays 3-4-3 are 7th and 8th. This leagues full of supernatural midfields.)

Well, at least I don't have to worry about doing something stupid due to panic, because the bank account is empty.

For the moment, yes. I found it right after I signed up to play Hattrick. I found Hattrick thanks to you guys. Oh, and my wife just hates you guys for it. :)
