That email address I posted above for the V and VI cup seems to be out of order. I cut and pasted it here via the USA conference. Anyway, if you're interested, go check the USA conference. 5 friendly games guaranteed if they get a full slate of entries for the tourney.

Anyone up for an international friendlies? since paying for plane fare is unfair, let's have two matches, one at your place and one at my place. This should bring in more revenue than a normal friendly. We'll have the first match at your home.

I'm currently #2 at Division 5 in US.

Well I'm into the V and VI Cup, I am one of the three that can't play til next week, as I have the return leg of a home and home that I had planned out earlier in the year, and this was the first two weeks we both had free to do it. As the thing in the conferences said though, it is now starting the week after next. Should be fun, maybe I can win some cup games.

I was getting 13 and 13 previously, but this week I got 13 and 12. I'm currently at 1039 supporters, high on life, and won the last league match 6 - 0 away.

Always good to see new players joining in.

Let us know if you have questions. There are some great players on here who all offer good advice.

Sometimes the thread is a little slow, so be patient, but generally if someone has a good question lots of responses come in quickly.

Usually when you get a new team it is kind of weak. How does your squad look?

Don't get discouraged and don't blow that $300,000 all at once (like I did!!)

Good luck!

I think he was referring to his challenges... but I briefly had the same thought that you did.

I trained stamina again this week. Trying to get the rest of my middies/wingers up to snuff. Once again, no one got better stamina than excellent. Only players below excellent bumped up. Is their some sort of stamina cieling that you guys are aware of?

So I've just started playing, I got started at the very end of last season, had one game in V before my pathetic team dropped to VI, where it is now dominating (I've won all but one game, which I drew because I was trying a different setup and tactic in the same match).

I bought some young (17 and 18 years) defenders on the cheap, two for the wings and two for the central defense (I'm playing 4-5-1), who I'm playing in the friendlies to give them experience and train them. I'm training defense... what I'm wondering is, how much should I expect their defense rating to go up over the course of the season (I've got a pair of assistant coaches and a weak coach)?

Expect your trainees to bump once over the course of a season. That is if you do nothing but train defense. Most of them will. Some are just barely passable (or whatever rating) and with your not so great coach (assumption based on my own coach and beginning) will bump early next season.

As a brand spanking new club, and especially since you are dominating your Div VI series, don't over look the need to increase your stamina. Since you are not a PM trainer, it's not as important, but if I were you, I'd train it at least once during the season if not twice.

I believe the stamina ceiling is excellent.

Stamina can go up to formidable, but I believe if it does, the next time it's trained it will drop back to excellent.

I believe 17-18 year old defenders pop once every seven weeks with a solid coach, could be once every eight weeks. Make sure you have a full compliment of trainees -- a total of nine or ten, depending on what formation you want to play in your "want to win" matches (a five-defender lineup will get you full training but a defense-heavy lineup makes for low-scoring games and more upsets).

i was in the v and vi cup last season... this season still in the the real cup :) first time ever in round 6 for me. 3 home cup games will be nice, I get a cup rematch with Street Walkers. was only losing to him 3-2 in the cup a few seasons ago with 10 mins left before he blew the door open and beat me 7-2... would be cool to get some revenge. if anyone is selling an excellent or formidable wingback or foward let me know. Need one of each, and got 1.6 million dollars lying around :)

I personally don't know how much you could get, what I always do when I'm not sure is check the transfer list for players around the same skill level and see what people are getting for them, then I make a price somewhere around there. But with some defense training that guy could be a good wingback.

i don't know if my 20,000 investment is worth it anymore... my youth club just turned solid, but i'm yet to make any profit off it. I've been doing it for at least 10 weeks.... so that's 200,000 right there. I could have gotten a good solid play maker for that much money.
