we could make it like world cup style...with groups if their is enough ppl

not a bad idea, but not sure when it would work out. I'm supoose to be in an Arsenal Cup sometime, not sure when it will start though.

I would almost never suggest motsing in the cup, unless you're sure it'll get you a home match and that you'll sell out. Because the nature of the seeded draw means you're always going to get a tougher team the next round, which you'll have to MOTs again to have a chance, or lose playing normally with a bad team spirit.

Thanks, I'm pretty much guaranteed a home spot. I am a low seed afterall. I'm playing a Div III team after defeating a Div IV team this week. I'm done now. Probably PIC it and just reap the revenue.

Yeah, no way I'm winning my league, but i'm pretty sure I'll stay up...a tie and a loss so far (I MOTS it). Stupid website is down and I haven't been able to find out if I won the cup game or not!!!!!!!!

Don't know how much cross over there is for this but the NC Region has formed a fed called Allied North Carolina Hattrick Organization...to help support NC based clubs. Our first mission is the introduction of a cup system for NC based teams.

We have a thread going on the USA Conference called North Carolina Region. The cup is open to all NC based clubs, and not just fed members.

I envision 4 cups during the season, a ladder tournament through week 10, followed by a single elimination tournament for the best 16 in the ladder tournament. While that is going on the top clubs that were eliminated from the Open Cup (and not able to take part in the ladder) would be entered into a Masters tournament. Both the regular and master tournament wrapping up at Week 14. Week 15 would be a Super Cup featuring either the Regular Cup and Master Cup winner, or in the event that the US Open Cup is won by a NC based team, the Open Cup winner vs. the Master Cup winner.

Oh and yes the HT site is down...sounds nasty...but I like the logo that they post with the goalie in the hammock :)

Finally got to check my Cup game after being away for Thanksgiving, and then dealing with the "Black Friday Crash." Lost 3-0 to a good Div-V team. In the game though, I lost my starting goalie. I'm not terribly worried cause I have a decent back up, but this is the second season in a row where I have lost my starting keeper in a cup game that I lost. Oh well, I got youth pull in 15-20 min or so. Maybe that will make me feel better.

Losing the league match 4-1 at the half. Had 59% possession though. Frustrating. My best striker missed an opportunity at the end of the half. Counting on a much better 2nd half (possession wise and finishing wise) since he's pressing......

I am winning 1-nil at half time. 51% of possession to me. Doesn't say if he is using any special tactics so I am expecting it to be normal.

He has a strong central defence so I am trying AOW.

I noticed that in the Major League KC Wizards are losing to newly promoted Cyclones 2-nil at half time.

Check that I am now winning 2-0 and KC have made it 2-1

4-4... Wonder if his pressing got him his early goals... Considering his lack of possession, I'd have to think so, but pressing doesn't come out and say (often) that a defensive blunder led to a goal. I dominated the 2nd half opportunities.

Nice to come away with this away game tie via PIC. Needed that after MOTSing the cup game. The tie gave me enough points to stay in the top 4. I'm likely to lose my next league match though vs the IV relegation next week. But by then, I'll be back in playing form, focused on league play, and making a move for a 2nd place finish.
