lost, but I piced it against a team that I thought I had no chance beating. The top two teams continue to roll and hopefully Ill be solid form for the 5-4-1 formation in a week or two. Places 3-6 are open as each team only has 3 points. Still early. Hopefully I can snagg this 18 yr Crotian solid winger for only 35k. Would be a boast to go along with my solid Irish winger and my three passable wingers(one which I think I will name coach at the end of the season.)

Yeah, but it's only temporary. Don't do it unless you really, really need a form boost for one week.

DC Untied is in V.191 -- one of the other members of that series (FC Lyme) is in another board that I frequent. (As is FC Northern Tiberon in V.215.)

I decided to focus on the cup this week, so I ran out a decent team without any critical starters and PICed on the road. For all of that, I won 7 - 0. I shudder to think what would have happened if I had run out my first choice team.

Tied my league match pic against an easier oppenent 1-1. Still third in my group, and got a bot team this week, while 4th place plays second. Not going to play it cool this week though. I may pic in my cup game though, because the team I play is much better then me. I'm hoping that the team doesn't get humanized just yet. There are three bot teams currently in my league, and ones a walk over. Problem is, I'm the last team in the league to play them, so more then likely they will be humanized before then. Oh well still on track for my goal after 2 weeks. Hoping to avoid a qualifier this year, maybe finish with a top 3 finish. I can hope.

I lost 3-1 at home. Not as heavy a defeat as I expected.

I tried "Counter-attacking" and it is good to know my team is "weak at it" :D

Other than the team I just lost to my series seems fairly even and every match will be a dog-fight from here on in.

I am building up some money though, drew 30,000 plus for this home match and I now have $500,000 in the bank. Most I have ever had. :)

I am saving for something, but I don't know what. An experienced excellent forward (or higher) would suit my team most I think.

I picked up a 17 yr old inad keeper off the transfer list for 7K...it was probably my 3rd best acquisition in my young HT career...

I've been doing pretty well...won my first league match and was second on goals and faced the leader at home...ran MOTS against him, won 3-1. The big boy in our league tied against a poor team so now I'm on top 2 points clear with a +6 on goals...I have weak opposition until I face the big boy. I don't think I can win my league but who knows...I tie him away and win or tie at home and maybe we finish the season with 38 pts to his 35?

Doubtful, but at least I'm keeping the fans and the sponsors happy now.

*sighs in relief*

You had me worried there. Say what formation is he going to use against me? :D

I've got some tough cup competition tomorrow night. Playing a div 4 team that, according to my scouts in the field, will be playing their better midfield against me in the game. Hopefully they are picing against me in my arena and my increased team spirit will give me the edge. My guys are still in sorry form after the offseason stamina camp.

This game is definitely winnable. I'm a little worried that he pic'd his league match this week in order to last longer in the cup. He lost and played his mostly 2nd string middies. Odds are, I'll be needing a friendly next week.

I won't know till late tomorrow whether I survived or not. And I won't be able to even ask for friendlies till Thursday morning. I'll have to remember to challenge you early Thurs before I depart on my Thanksgiving holiday.

I've got a 14k - question is, how big is your fanclub. I think that impacts the attendance more, right? Mine is just under 800k.

I have 885 members of the Section 28 Knights.

So you are in debt and so am I. See how you do and let me know. I'm sure we can have a friendly down the road if this doesn't work out.

Yeah but only about 800 show up and pay dues...

LOL. Sorry bout that. Had been just typed 14k and inadvertantly slipped the K in there after the number of supporters. Geez.

If my scouting is right, my opponent is saving most of his A string midfield (at least solids I figure) for our cup match tonight. I sure hope he's pic'ing. He's got a darn good winger and a middie in excellent form. I think I've got one guy at solid form.

Here's to hoping that he goes defensive after going up by 2, and I blow by him in the end!

but I MOTSd. The Fiery Ferries went down in flames. Won 3-2 with 51 and 53 % possession. I wanted to get to one more Cup game if only for the xtra revenue. Gonna need it as I play away my next two league games. I reaped 56,531 US$ for this sold out cup game... are cup games split in half?

Lost a darn good defender for 3 weeks.

I believe the cup revenue is split in half, I got $20K today playing away.

Managed a 4-2 win after being down 2 nil early.

Got yet another away match next week against another team in div iv. :(

I believe 2/3 of cup revenue goes to the home team.
I would almost never suggest motsing in the cup, unless you're sure it'll get you a home match and that you'll sell out. Because the nature of the seeded draw means you're always going to get a tougher team the next round, which you'll have to MOTs again to have a chance, or lose playing normally with a bad team spirit.

won my friendly 3-1 with my B Squad. Too bad only 391 people showed at the guys place. But hey, beats playing 6k on airfare and then only 391 people show.
