Forgot to say I'm playing a div IV team (he looks pretty decent) Chi Town Dragons (70710) , at home! I'm not sure how to take this one, from looking at their last matches he has a 3-5-2 formation with his wingers attacking. I'm pretty decent at counterattacking so I might try that (since his midfield is definitely better) and MOS. I'm also playing the #3 team in my league at home on Sunday...he's better, but not that much better.
I haven't had much success with pressing but I might try it against him.

You should probably fire one of them. For some reason most people keep 1.

I'm playing the Fiery Ferries of IV.60, recently promoted from V.218...
A good team that will give me some trouble but if it's against his B team, then I've got a shot. Definitely going to need the ball to bounce my way. It will be at my abode so I guess I get some sort of home field advantage.
Most of my team's form is still down after their off season stamina camp, but it is beginning to creep back up. Had 4 up and 6 down. Expect next week to be much better. No skill/experience updates. And, knock on wood, only one bruised player as of now. If anyone else sees that injury bug, swat it before it can get to me please.

What league and series are you in? V or VI? just curious, I'd challenge you, but I'm still in the Open Cup, although I should be free after next week, cause I don't think I'll win.

Me too, I mean I hate that I have nothing really to do on there right now. I'm not getting any new players, and I'm not selling anyone so I don't have a lot to do while I'm on there, which kinda sucks. BUt I can't wait til Sunday.

Hattrick is very addictive. Not sure if you have supporter, but it is a great tool and if you get in some good feds, you can get some better advice than the newbie, global or country conferences is. I'm in one fed where we have it to show off who we are selling and what the youth pulls are so we can get good deals. Plus the Ireland manager is in one I'm in too. :)

I'm crazy too! Don't forget youth pull Saturday night? The economic updates just occurred so you can pull your youth. I pulled a passable PM 17 yo. Just listed him. greatscott, don't forget to promote a player from your youth squad. Odds are you'll get crap, but you never know. You might just win the youth pull lotery. :)
And if you are really a glutton for punishment, there's always statistics that you can start tracking. At the very least, build files on your competition and identify tendencies that you might be able to exploit.
Anyway, Sunday is just around the corner. Won't have to wait long...

Pulled a inad 19yo winger that with some training could easily get better, his skills are posted in the transfer thread.

Just promoted this goalie.
Byron Terry
66 000 US$, 18 years, passable form
Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities
Stamina: wretched Keeper: weak
Playmaking: disastrous Passing: disastrous
Winger: wretched Defending: wretched
Scoring: disastrous Set Pieces: poor
This is my current goalie:
Mike Minter
43 000 US$, 27 years, passable form
Has wretched experience and disastrous leadership abilities
Stamina: wretched Keeper: weak
Playmaking: wretched Passing: disastrous
Winger: wretched Defending: disastrous
Scoring: disastrous Set Pieces: inadequate
Is the new one more valuable just because of his age...should I get rid of my old one even though he has better experience? Could I get 66,000 for Byron? Thanks.

ouch. how much money do you have? you might want to search either ireland or Sweden and see how cheap of a goalie that is at least inad will cost.
Doubt you'll get 66k for him.

I wouldn't keep either personally, both weak, you can get an inad or a passable keeper very cheap.
You won't get anywhere near 66,000 for Byron if he is weak as his keeper attribute, I don't even think he'd sell at all. What you might want to keep Byron and start training keeper so that he will improve in skills. Byron is more valuble because he is closer to leveling up then your other keeper. It'll also be easier for Byron to level up because he is younger.

I'm pretty heavy in debt....doubt I could buy without selling a player or two (at least until next week). I will probably keep both this week and then next week get a better keeper. Then I'll sell (or cut) Minter and train Terry.

I pic'd my league match and it is now tied a 2 a piece. Was hoping my B team would have fared better at home against this week's opponent. Still plenty of time to win it though. Had dead even possession at halftime. Hoping that my increased stamina after off season traning will help win the 2nd half possession and the last minute scoring opportunities.
It's also raining and I got less of a crowd than I hoped for. Was hoping for a full house today. Need that money to get outta debt this season. Still, I had 10200+ show up.
Arggh! Tied my second league match in a row.... O me O my. But I've got points.... :) and it smells like team spirit!
The new revenue is pretty nice...got 62785 for that attendence. Now unfortunately I travel away for my next 2 league matches.
On a side note, the last bot in my group has been humanized. The new team put in a good showing at their home arena and defeated what I considered to be one of the top four teams. The new club is now ranked #3 by virtue of their one win. Course I think his opponent may have been Pic'ing his match too, but I don't know that for sure.
On to the cup!
