What might be a good idea is to dump them one once a week, when you pull a youth player. If any of them have an inad. main skill, then put them on the transfer list, because there is always some guy that will buy an inad b/c they don't know what they are doing. BTW how many players would you have on your roster if you dumped all 5 of those guys?

I would be interested in this. But a better compromise might be a separate "Hattrick transfer thread" in this section of the boards.

Then those not interested could ignore it and it wouldn't clutter up this thread.

Still in the cup and going up against a second bot team. I think I'm going to PIC and see what that gets me. Managed to tie a team that used to be considerably better in my first league game, and I'm feeling pretty good about my chances of competing. Problem is I'm pretty far into debt now and i'm not sure if I should sell all my players and mail it in this term or scale back my investment into the youth system.....anyone have any ideas? At the end of last season I was a little better than breaking even every week because of home games, but the cup has screwed me and my first game was away. I"m like 300,000 in debt and starting to get nervous.

I'm at -200K. I'm sticking it out. My YS is at 10k / passable.

How exactly did the cup screw you? You share the money and it's more than you'd get via a friendly.

My first two cup games are away. My first League game was away. Thankfully this weekend, I get my first home game of the season and some of that increased revenue..

Stick around, offload seldom used players or high salary ones that aren't that good and see how the new revenue model affects your bottom line. Oh and stop spending money. Just pull youths and give them a shot on the market. If they aren't worth it fire them. You might just get lucky. And the new revenue model might (most likely) make it easier for both of us to get outta debt.

I'll be $60k plus cup receipts in the black after the econ update this week, and that with a $400k stadium expansion. It might be time for me to up my YS investment to $20k/week, although really the keeper I pulled this week has already paid off the entire season (I'm keeping him, but his replacement value is around $200k).

Like what Craig said, you should have enough to cover if you fire those players, just keep replacing them with youth pulls, I mean I have 20 on my roster with a coach, so I only have one more player then you and I've been doing fine.

Pulled off a 3-1 win against a number 1 team in division six using only a few starters. The other team missed a PK. Surprisingly my entire series is doing well, there are still 5 teams left in the tournament. Next week I play another division 5 team, this time though it's at my place. But judging from his stats in his last game it will probably be a lose for me. Oh well if I lose, at least I got a home game, and I made it as far as I did last year.

Won my match 3-0. They counter-attacked against my 60% possession. Funny that my worst performing player according to the report scored 2 goals.

Most of all, everyone is healthy for a change. Also got some nice dough out of almost 20k in attendance.

Don't know what my next cup match looks like yet as I'm at work.

I was hoping to get to the third round. I made it. I wonder if I'm home or away.... Hopefully, if they've got more stadium seats and supporters the game will be at their place... Will just have to wait and see..

Now for that crazy match in league play this weekend. About half of my series lost their cup matches. 4-5 of us are left if I remember correctly.

How many of you are leaving Wednesday for Tksgiving events and won't be plugged in to see your cup results?

Got an easy 5-0 away win against a bot, now I play a human Div V player away. Still no home cup match for me. Ever!

I think if I win this one, I will finally get a home match. I have never won a 3rd round match so I am considering playing one or two of my starters.

As I am playing the #1 team in the league on Sunday I might reverse my league and cup line ups this week.

The #1 team got a 90 rating in hatstats and beat the #2 team 6-1, so I have no chance anyway.

Probably PiC and counter attack.

Won my cup game (match ID 13157669) 5-1 using attack through the middle PIC (a midfielder scored 4), third round here I come! I sold a pretty good potential player (but who has had horrible form recently) and that brings me solidly into the black for this week. I'll sell another player once I get a new youth player (the best I've gotten so far, even though I have a passable youth squad, is 17 year old inadequate defender and 18 yo inadeqaute winger). I haven't bought a player since earlier on last season, but my goalie really sucks and is nearly always the worst player in a game...I need to do something about that.
