Yeah and that's why I don't think that it would work, because I too am not always home during match time. I was just stating hypethetically that it could work well in that sense.

Won the league opener 5 - 1, which was quite a surprise considering I'd scored one goal total in three previous games with that team (3 - 0, 1 - 0, and 1 - 1). Put up a team record 30* and a non-MOTS record 60 NSI off of a passable midfield (got to 62 playing MOTS at home last season). I should be right on track for another third place season, then hopefully I can cash in a trainee at the end of the season and make a promotion push in season 22.

I got the 3 points, but what happens to my training for those 11 players? Do they miss out if I play my scrubs in the cup on Wednesday? From your point of view, the only difference between a walkover and a game that gets played is that the w/o has no risk of injury or cards. The players accumulate training and experience exactly the same as if the game had actually been played.

Thanks for the info Craig. Glad to know my boys got training and experience without risk of injury and suspension.

Nice bonus to get three points from a better team way from home too :)

The only downside for me was I riskily MOTS'ed this match and didn't need to. Oh well, PiC in the cup and in a must lose league match next Sunday (vs. #1 team) should remedy that.

i was thinking

how cool would it be to have an international transfer market...the only difference is u have to put a small fee down to put a guy in there...like maybe $500? what do u guys think?

you mean here or the game? If you are refering to the game, there is a transfer market. Go to bids, then click on transfer list, put in what you are looking for, league, country, position, and then click search, and happy bidding. :)

I understand what you are saying, it's a topic that gets a lot of play in the conferences on hattrick. The thing that I always see used to respond to an international transfer market is that hattrick wants to reward players that spend more time on their computer, they want you to look for deals and for good players. I personally did some searching when I had some free time and I found a solid striker in the Irish league and got him for $12,000, which is like half of what I paid for my other one. I'm not against your idea, I'm just saying that it gets brought up a lot in the conferences, and the idea usually gets torn apart by people no matter what little amendments (higher agent fees, or your idea to have to pay to get the player listed). It's all about searching and finding the bargins, usually in smaller countries. Also it has gotten easier by adding the area where you can search different countries from the bids page, you used to have to go to a country if you wanted to search their transfer market, which took a lot more work. Now I know a lot of players don't have the free time, I'm just telling you what gets brought up most of the time in response.

doesn't it cost 1000 dollars to list a player on the transfer list?

No, it's free. No, firing a player is free, transfer listing them costs $1000. In order to break even on a transfer (making back the fee and covering the agent/mother club cuts), you need to get a transfer price of at least $1112.

I gotta admit, I like the feeling I get from outworking other owners. Who needs sleep? Lazy owners don't deserve the benefits of an international transfer market in my opinion. I'm gonna outwork the competition. Otherwise, it would be even harder for me to out maneuver the competition.

No, it's free.

I bet you're thinking about the 2k charge to promote a player from the youth squad.

I agree, I loved it when I found my new solid striker cheap, because he was good and young. The joys of finding that gem in another league that you can help build your team around is a lot like getting a good youth pull. It just makes you feel proud as a coach. :D LOL

Itīll cost you 1 000 US$ to place a player on the transfer list, even if he isnīt sold.

This is from hattricks website under rules. It does cost $1000 to put a player on the transfer list.

playing my A lineup. Got a competitive opponent from V.154 to go up against. Playing at his place... I could lose this one, especially if he MOTS. Was hoping for an easier opponent but what the hay.

He's playing a 3-4-3 with some interesting repositionings from time to time. Playing my usual 3-5-2.

Checked Hatstats a moment ago and they were only up to V.126..... I like to track those stats and such in addition to others...

My next league (V.188) game is against that weird team that plays 4-4-2 with two offensive wingers, everybody in the middle on defense, wingbacks to middle and CDs to the wing. He does alright with this get up. Well enough that if your team can't put it in the net, he can squeak by and suprise you. It's at my place and I should win anyway though... Will be nice to see some of that enhanced revenue in my coffers.

Best of luck to you all tomorrow. And I hope KevinInLousiana found his friendly.

Ireland's transfer pool has some steals.

Also I don't think it would be a problem if we listed out transfers here. I know one of the feds I am in has a transfer list.

Indeed, Ireland has a lot of good steals in players to go after, usually cheap players that are decent especially if you are a division V or VI team in the US. I'm also for putting players up here if people want too. Most of the time though, I don't buy players unless I am looking for a specific player, so most of the time I wouldn't use it to buy a player, but I would be willing to post, especially if my youth system ever yields me something other then a weak player.
