Me! Me! Me! Vote for me! :)
Yes I threw my name in the hat to run for it. Here is my speech I had posted on the USA board.
My fellow Hattrickers, lend me your eyes!
As you all know the elections for the right to coach the U20 USA is here. If elected the U-20 Coach, I will do my best to bring USA back to the top to win the World Cup. What the US of A needs is a player pool so big, that you can fit them into the state of Texas and still have room.
So what is in it for you? Glad you asked. As many of you are aware, there is a good number of players out there that have yet to be spotted. This is where you come in. I am willing to listen to recommendations and I encourage you to help by sending the names of these players so they can go on and be the best they can be. I will even give players chances to shine in the friendly matches. Each will be given a fair and equal chance.
In closing, I would like to wish everyone else running good luck and may the best man(or woman) win. Thank you to all those who have some faith in me and give me their vote.

Won 6-nil, but one of my defenders got injuried, but the good news is I have at least 3 other players to provide cover.
Play another VI next week. Think I'm going to put in some of the reserves.

WOW. I just got lucky in my cup game. Playing it cool almost bit me in the butt. I won 2-1 on a goal in the 89th min by the guy who has saved my ass the past two games that count, one with a hattrick and this time with the GW in the 89th, good thing is he is only 18 and I'm training scoring right now.
I too have a VI team next week, but they are the number one team and not a bot, so I am feeling a little worried about it although the team doesn't look great.
On a good/bad note, I found out that the team that was just relegated into my division is a walk over, and that means a 5-0 win for me. The problem is that I don't think that they will still be a walk over team by the time they play me, I think that they'll get replaced before then meaning that I lose the "easy" win which will annoy me because then I won't get the "easy" three points.

I lost ym first round cup game. Darn human opponents.
So if anyone else lost and wants a friendly next week, feel free to challenge me.

Sadly no. I voted early before I realized you were in the running. Then kicked myself for not researching the candidates better.
I'll demand a recount if you lose though. ;)
PS, won my Pic'd cup game 5-0.
Yeah, good question Kevin, Do cup cards only matter in cup play or ....
Well how do cards work in cup/league play. I joined last season right after the team I replaced got kicked outta the cup so I've only been in the league/friendly part of a season.

In my cup game I won 7-0 away against a bot, PiC with my reserves.
I have another bot away in the next round.
My series is going to be interesting.
My first match is away against a better team than me (he finished 5th, I finshed 6th) but he has recently sold about 6 or 7 good players. He now only has 15 on his roster.
I am watching his transfer history to see if some superstars arrive before our match on Sunday. He must have a ton of spare cash available now.
The wait is killing me!
BTW, Kansas City area "hattrickers" are meeting at Coaches (103rd & Wornall) to watch the Wizards - Earthquakes on Sat. night.

Cards in all competitive matches count the same. If you get a red card in a cup match, that player would sit out the next competitive match, i.e. Sunday's league match. Yellow cards also accumulate.
PS I won 10-0 with a PIC :)

7 - 1 PIC win with the one coming on a long shot SE, I think. Had an idiot sent off in the 43rd minute.
Bad news is my next Cup match is with a human-controlled team. Good news is, they suck, and it's a derby! I already had one level of midfield on a road PIC without using my best midfielder, and now I should be able to get away with doing it again and still have a big possession advantage (matched by a big offensive advantage and a big defensive advantage).

I've got a question on training players.
I noticed that there is heck of a difference between anything passable and solid. Is that because its takes long to train from passable to solid? Do some skills improve much faster other skills? I'm guessing Defense improves faster than play making ability since defenders are like 1/10th the price of midfielders. Is there like a "wall" where its virtually impossible to improve after a certain point?
Sorry for the bombardment of questions. Basically the question is, should i train my passable playmaking guys (like 24yrs) for better midfield or should i train something else, sell them, and buy better midfielders?
