The "furious" bit comes from you playing Match of the Season (which, you will note, I tried to dissuade you from doing, and since you won 6-0, you would have run away with it anyway most likely). I don't know that winning will help. You can either let it rise back up slowly, by playing it normal for awhile, or else speed things up by Playing it Cool one game, if you get the chance (against a really weak team or a walkover team, for instance).
Tsk, tsk, tsk...if only you had listened...

Thanks for the warning though. At the time I was looking very weak and hadn't won a single match. But you believe it will slowly creep back up. Works for me. As I feel competitive from here on out, except against the #1 team.

A few weeks ago I had my TS at "furious" after MOTS, then I played the next two league matches PiC and it recovered, so much so that I MOTS again last week for my crucial relegation decider.

So now I am back to PiC this weekend. My players are probably more confused than anything, but it served its purpose for me too.

grrr... decided to PIC a game, thought that I should maybe normal it, didn't do anything about it, and lost 3-1. Now I have to win out to have a shot at auto-promoting into IV.

My team had a great week of training, and only one of my starting 11 was in less than passable form today...and he scored a hattrick. I think only one player failed to equal or exceed his personal best star rating, and Hatstats gave me a "league rating" of better than 100. Easily an all-time best.
Auto-promotion to division three is all but assured.
I'm scared.

As expected I lost to one of the better teams in my division, 3-1 at home.

Worringly my closest opposition to my somewhat secure 6th place got a draw away and has seemingly woken from his slumbers. He has started posting in the conferences and his team is a lot stronger all of a sudden.

I may be hanging on for 6th by the end of this season, it is gonna be close.

Yeah, my opponnet was going to start this week's game a man down. Good thing I checked Sunday to see if he'd logged on. Sure enough he had and was starting his full 11. I still won 3-1 at my house. just 2k short of a full house (14k). That'll help my bottom line. Didn't I read somewhere you get a little bonus for a sellout?

Anyway, this week's game is against the team (2nd place) that joined the same week I did. He had the advantage of (at week 4) possessing first place and the points that earned that spot. He's now 4 points ahead of me. 4 pts separate 2nd and 7th place right now.

If I win 3 of my last four, I stand a very good chance at some top 4 money. Must win at least 2 of the 4. But I play the top 2 teams the next two weeks. The one this week is winnable though. We've got almost the same talent.

No bonus for a sellout that I'm aware of.

I wouldn't suggest getting yourself a relegation qualifier, because you might run into someone good enough to beat you (looks doubtful, judging by all the squad around the cutoff for autopromotion are all bots, but still...), but financially you're better off playing the qually than getting the finishing bonus. You get to do a full set of training that week and you most likely get a full house of attendance money, and at our level that attendance money is more than a 4th place bonus.

I've sold out my last two home matches and there is no bonus.

So can anyone tell me what happens if you get the drop? 10% supporter decrease and fewer fans per game, in general. I think sponsor money goes down, too.

Damn. Hopefully they will be bots so that means easy wins right?

If you're looking at going down to VI in the U.S., the overwhelming majority of those series are 7 bots (plus one more that will either autopromote out, has abandoned, or isn't good enough to be a serious challenge anyway).

in usa VI? i suspect that you will bounce back pretty quickly. its a new and very weak division with very few actual human players.

and aagunner3, if you ever want to play a fellow georgian, then challenge me to a friendly. i'd be happy to play sometime...

If I was going to buy a player to save for a coaching change, the most important feature is the experience, right? Leadership would be nice, but leadership of a coach with a positive outlook (aka sympathetic, popular) CAN help offset a nasty team captain if I remember the rules correctly. The Leadership of the coach I realize, now determines how long the coach is useful. The least important feature is the agreeability right?

So, in order of importance... for a player turning coach...
Experience
Leadership
Agreeability

Or am I off base here?

Agreeability matters only for your team leader. The coach's effect on team spirit is exclusively through his leadership. Since your coach can't be your team leader, I think his agreeability is completely irrelevant.

All I ever worried about with my coach is how good a trainer they are.
