I don't play the remaining bot-team until the last week of the season. Hopefully he doesn't get humanized before the end o the season. I bet I'll need that win to get into/stay in 5th/6th place.

If you were able to keep it to a goal away, you SHOULD be able to win at home playing in normal. Of course you'll need to decide for yourself if you can afford to risk it. However, you need to look ahead and decide how much a diminished team spirit will hurt you in your next couple of games.
You don't worry about a 'bot' team coming back to life.

champmanager, AAGunner3 is in USA V or VI, and I think they'll prioritize on eliminating bots from mostly-human divisions.

(The human VI divisions are 1 through 12 and 910 through 958, with new additions coming at the front of the series rather than in the 900's -- not sure why the change in policy.)

OH, that would suck to play it cool with your 2nd string...and then he jumps out of the coffin with a chainsaw and says "Gotcha!"...

Well, I can't remember if a post of mine was actually removed, but the initial thread was closed while I was trying to post. I can't even remember what I had written. I started the other thread just to vent about how frustrating it was to find the thread closed. However, I was suprised either thread lasted 1-2 posts. Center City Gooners (CCG) was and still is a touchy subject over there.

It's probably touchy here as well. I know of quite a few guys from Canada who were banned from the HT-Forum due to things posted elsewhere.

Yay! Had 55% possession first half, but my stamina hurt me in the 2nd as 'he' won possession with 55%.

Question?????
How many spokespersons do you suggest I have? Currently I've employed 2. I saw some sort of formula somewhere and I'm going to search for it again but wanted your opinions for a Div V team, brand spanking new that needs more cash flow.

As expected I lost 3-nil at home to the team now in joint first place.

I am still in 6th, but play 7th place away next week. This will determine who stays up and who will play a play-off match.

I am not that confident about getting a decent result as I have one of my "excellent" inner mids suspended for too many yellows.

I am trying to detemrine whether to play a 4-5-1 or a 3-5-2. I think I might be able to get a 0-0 with a 4-5-1 which I now have up to its highest level of experience.

Off to study my opponents recent form and formations ...

If you're not sure whether it's worth it, try adding one next week and see what it does to your bottom line (if you do it this week, you won't be able to tell because of the sponsorship change implemented by the HT team). At that point, with six weeks left until the sponsor attitude reset, if the spokesperson brought in an increase of about $430 more than your previous increase, s/he would pay for his/her salary.

Note that this key value for the spokesperson to pay for themself will rise each week, but it will also be complicated should it also result in additional supporters signing up.

I lost to the #1 team 9-0. Gained 1 supporter. The 2nd time I played them and played it cool both times. Right now I'm in 6th place, but have 2 or 3 games against the bottom teams so if I can win those, I'll stay up.

Went with my 3-5-2 and MOTS and I am up 2-nil with an hour gone.

I might stay up after all.

i'm still undefeated in league play, but the wins keep getting tighter and tighter, against weaker and weaker opposition. I wonder if they didn't twiddle with the game engine during the midseason break.
There is no reason for me to not get promoted to division III this season.
I'm scared.

I've won both my games the past two weeks. It's about time. Hadn't won any at all this season.

Granted I MOTSd last game because I needed those three points and had to prevent that opponent from gaining any more if I was going to have a chance at overtaking him.

Played it normal this week. Came away with a nice road win against a team that I thought was going to be competing for #2 but seems to have had a bad run of things lately.

Thanks for you suggestions about 4 weeks ago regarding my middies' stamina. I trained Stamina for two weeks and took a minimal form hit. No form gains but I expected a much bigger decrease in form.

I think it really paid off this week as I have a pretty poor team spirit and was playing away, yet I won the midfield battle for the first time ever.

With the latest 3 points I vaulted to 6th and am only 3 pts away from 4th place. 7 from 2nd. Much better position after things looking really grim at the midway point in the season. Anything can happen and I might end up in the top five, but based on the remaining schedule, it really looks like I'm going to end up 5th or 6th, which was my goal all along.

I hope you all have done well this weekend.

I ended up winning 2-nil :D

I lost the midfield battle, but scored down the wings!

I have soldified 6th place, I am now 6 points clear of 7th (the team I beat away today).

Barring a disaster I won't be relegated and will face a play off match to stay up. Couldn't ask for much more considering the strength of my series. I am pleased that the keeper I invested heavily in after promotion was my MOM today and kept a clean sheet!

Thats one of the things I wonder that they didn't change in the mid-season. My youth pulls, and seemingly those of a lot of other people, have goten much better in the last couple of weeks.
I can deal with the good youth pulls, but I can't deal with the overconfidence, both named and unnamed, dammit!

My youths have been inconsistent (two salable, a 17-yo passable defender and a 18-yo solid playmaker, both with minimal secondaries), and I still need nearly $100k in sales to break even on my investment for the season.

I would sooner expect them to monkey with the cost of youth pulls (which will only have monetary repercussions) than with the quality of youth pulls (which will upset the entire transfer market). Both would be economic impacts, but a straight money change would be much more limited in scope.

Gah. My team, regardless of the win yesterday, is incredibly poor for the level I'm at. I'm still surprised to have such a lead over 8th place (and only 1 point behind 4th place, though I'm in 7th on goal dif).

Lost 1-nil :( and I controled the ballroughly 63% through out the game.

My guys missed several shots, but on the plus side, one of my youth pulls got 2.5 stars. Not great, but good for my midfield.

This is at least your third season there, has the team always been poor for that level or has everyone else caught up and passed you?

My team has played a little over their heads this year, which is good, because it keeps the supporters happy. As my economics pick up, I'm starting to fill out the team in line with their previous level of play. Hopefully, the results will keep coming.

Granted I'm in Div V, so there are some owners who dream about Hattrick, but there are plenty who sign up and then do squat with their squads...

How common is this? I've been tracking my opponents lineups, did they schedule friendlies, checking their log ins, maybe looking at their transfer histories... My job would be much more difficult if they checked in once a week and jiggled the lineup to account for injuries/suspensions and whatnot.

I know for sure of one my opponents is alive. The other 6, some are on life support, but most might as well be dead. Is/was this true for you too?

In my series:

Flashotcite (second most talented team) is active, started out more or less day trading and I see him/her from time to time in the forums
Go Mart FC (most talented team in the series) is active, transfers players occasionally, and has improved to the point that I'd really like to get them to promote. They managed to screw up a game against me and play only a 3-2-3 and I won despite PICing on the road
Me. I'm active, I read the conferences every day and participate in three different Hattrick communities (this, USCHO, and FOFC).
vick tyme's logs in regularly and has a handful of transfers. I've never noticed them in conferences, but I confess I haven't been paying close attention. Although their team is very competitive (mid-50's NSIs), they don't seem to be taking steps to improve.
Decatur Bengals doesn't have any logins on record and hasn't played a friendly since last season.
Stingers is basically the same as vick tyme's, but with exactly one transfer in their history (purchased a 3* forward for $300k). She doesn't play friendlies, either.
Pullman Cougars had a post in the series conference early on but has struggled. S/he does log in multiple times in a day, had a bunch of buys early and a couple of sales more recently.
Couch Potato FC sold off all but six of their players and hasn't logged in since, going walkover. Looks like they blew up their team and have given up.

(Pullman and Couch Potato were replacements for the autopromoted bots in my series.)

My fellas are pretty furious...
Does team spirit not improve with a win? They say that winning cures all. I'd expect a little positive swing after a win but I'm not sure about the way Hattrick 'models' it. Obviously, I've seen the confidence rise. I just hope that winning will raise our spirit some.

My coach is weak and a controversial person who is balanced and dishonest.
Has passable experience and weak leadership abilities.

Not the best of coaches to say the least. But I'm making do with what I have. Hope to get outta debt and upgrade my coaching position next year.
