Wow...watching my first Ligue 1 match. Monaco's stadium is cool looking. But too bad it's not filled to capacity for this 1st place vs. 2nd place match. And the fans are too far away from the pitch, DAMN track! Monaco has cool kits + crests. Lyons are not bad.

So far, Monaco 1-0

This game was played yesterday, but I didn't check the result. Great goal by Giuly, good for my fantasy team
:D

Ref sucks in Holland and he sucks in France.

Why is Rothen wearing a massive bandage on his ear? Is he wearing an earring?

Also what was the attendance?

Giuly goal was sweet. 2-0 now. Thought the match was played this morning. Probably about 80% full.

Nice cross from Rothen, how long before he's gone to bigger things?

He's on one of the top clubs in Europe right now he don't need to go onto "bigger things" as you call it. I bet you think Blackburn and Tottenham are bigger things.

No I was thinking more like Roma, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, Madrid, Arsenal, Man Utd and those.

You are right, Monaco is one of the top clubs, but we all know they can't pay the money that the others can. Although the tax free zone is attractive, it hasn't been enough to keep other great players there.

right now, Monaco is playing great, and I want to see them do well - but Rothen almost left last summer, so odds are he'll be off this summer.

I don't think Roma and Arsenal spend as much money as those other clubs you mentioned.

Well I thought Arsenal couldnt get any more big name players until their stadium was built.

Roma is still rumored to be making some moves, just finalized Carew, and Arsenal is supposedly looking at Jermain Defoe for £12 million.

Here's a great a website. It has thousands of pictures of European soccer stadiums. Just click on France and then click on the team on the left of the home page. http://www.eurostadiums.com/countries.php?co=france
