Brian Boucher is less than four minutes away from breaking the 57 year old modern (red-line) record of 309 consecutive shutout minutes.

Can he do it? Does anyone else care?

Third period will start in about 15 minutes.

This is another example of Bobby Clarke running the Flyers into the ground. If anyone can remember Back. Boucher carried the Flyers a few years back to game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals where the Flyers choked like the dogs they are. Until then Boucher had probably the best postseason for a Flyers goaltender since Hextall when he took them against Gretzky's Oilers.

Fast forward and we see that boucher was traded to make room for Roman Cechmanek. Then Cechmanek flames out in the playoffs after two very good regular seasons. Clarke trashes him publicly so loudly the best they can get is a 3rd round pick for him.

We now have Jeff Hackett as our goaltender. The problem with Philly all through the 90's and still has been goaltending. Clarke had a great one and he let him go. Clarke may be the worst GM in sports this side of Jim Smith.

I enjoyed watching that, especially the Boucher Countdown box they put up at the start of the third period. What an amazing accomplishment.

Stuff like this makes me glad I have Center Ice and can watch the whole league.

I'm sure - as a Caps fan - you'll agree with me - a Canes fan - that almost anything would be better than watching a Caps/Canes game these days.

Preach on, brotha.

We now have another young goalie who's showing some promise, Bob Esche, so it's only a matter of time before he gets traded.

I'm sure they will wind up trading him for Curtis Joseph or something soon. Maybe Garth Snow, whats he up to these days?

I can see Clueless Clarke trading Esche and Pitkanen for Mike Richter and a 3rd-round draft pick at the deadline.

Blackhawks/Blue Jackets?

For the record, I did care about Boucher, but was attending a different game.

I thought the Flyers problem was the NJ Devils...

Snow's the #1 G with the Islanders at the moment.

It's been a depressing season for both squads. I look for some trades/salary dumps at the deadline come March. Kolzig to Philly? Could happen.
