Yeah, 11 goals in 22 games (three of those sub appearances), he definitely isn't producing real results this season.

The most frustrating thing about Adebayor is the amount of times he gets caught offside. I'm pretty certain he will be the person with the most offsides at the end of the season and I wouldn't be suprised if he got the most offsides last season as well. If he didn't get caught offside as much I dread to think how many more goals he would score. I bet he probably would have been very close to Ronaldo last season. He may even have got more goals than Ronaldo. We probably would have won the title.

well u gotta think about it...
why is he getting caught off side? its because he is playing on the shoulder of the last man... its out of being aggressive... and trying to catch the defense sleeping...
I think that is kind of overblown by us fans...
also, its funny but Bayo's stats are better this time this season, then they were last year... he has one less goal but 8 assists... he had 5 assists all of last season

id rather he was offside more than he diddn't score

The problem I have with Greedybayor is that he has no competition against someone else for a starting place, I think he has become complacent and not showing enough effort worthy enough to be on the pitch. He needs more chances than a 12 year old, his misses are extremely terrible and just gives a look as if it doesn't really matter. I just can't be bothered with having him in the starting lineup at the current time. If we do land Arshavin there will be some competition up front he will not be a guaranteed starter, like some of the team he just doesn't have or show any heart!

How people can blame him and not see that our midfeild isn't creating the space and chances they were last year is beyond me.

This is complete BS
How is it his fault that there isn't competition? Did he injure Eduardo? Is he stopping Bendtner from scoring goals? And with how often we do actually play 1 up top I'd say RvP is pretty good competition.
I gave Adebayor crap during the summer but he came back and he's worked hard, scored goals and showed he really cares. He's even saying in the press that he still thinks we can push on to win the title! He wants to win and he wants to win with Arsenal.
IF we do get Arshavin, I don't see how he would compete with Adebayor more than RvP. RvP can function as a lone striker (he may not be at his best but he can do it), Arshavin can't...so how is that going to increase the competition for Adebayor's spot?
I'd agree that he misses a lot of chances...but guess what so did Theirry Henry in his first few seasons. A lot of teams don't even have a striker that can score 20 goals in a season much less 30 and to give him crap for missing chances when he's on track for 22-25 goals this year (with an underperforming midfield) is just ridiculous.
No, your real problem with him (as evidenced by you calling him Greedybayor) is that you're still holding a grudge against him for the contract BS last summer and that's fair enough. But don't disguise it by trying to blame him for "no competition for spots" when forward is the only position we actually have some depth at or that he's offside a lot or that you think he doesn't have heart.
