I was wondering if someone or some corporation would step up in light of the championship split. $30 million for the two schools in scholarships would've been awesome but alas the NCAA will have none of it.

Yeah, not to mention neither school would want to do it.

Can you imagine how many players wouldn't be able to play in that game because the new quarter started already and eligibility is based on the previous quarter?
