When you think that Real Maryland would have made better decision they go ahead and announce joke signings. It was only a matter of time for the new Real coach fomer Hammerhead coach would pull from his own pot which is a big mistake, did every one see their record last season? Also it looks like Owner Victor is at it again with siging Jonathan Calero a spanish player who is another Joke like Former real players Ronald Cerrito and dennis Alas, como get with the program don't make the same mistake twice. Hey Real Maryland the Fans are screaming PLEASE GET SOME REAL TALENTED PLAYERS THAT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
This team is setting up for another terrible season and I am willing to put my money where my mouth is. Time to watch a better team.

What are you talking about saying that Denis Alas was a joke? He was the lone bright spot in his time with Real MD.

What a joke he is nothing, I saw when Brazilian player Neto sent the balls thru his legs and schooled him in a practice game , that was priceless. This team should fold because the decisions and roster choises are terrible.

LOL I wish I were their agent, I heard of the guy who represents them, I heard that he has gotten the one Brazilian player Adauto Neto an Indoor contract worth over 100K a yr WOW I wish he represented me, that is probaly more then the enitre Real Md teams salary cap put together and yes I love there style of play I follow their playing history and those guys are amazing. I have followed Adilson Delima ever since he played with Atlanta Silverbacks USL 1 and I followed Neto's playing carrier when he played for Rochester Rhinos. I wish I could be these guys agent if you know of any way I can be please let me know it would be a pleasure.
I have followed real Md since day one when they opened I know they were going to make huge mistakes when they signed the 2 name spanish players, they thought that it would bring a lot of revenue but it backfired on them and they lost a lot of money and now they continue to make the same silly mistakes with their signings c'mon man. I wish you were watching the training the day I saw these guys. I was playing on a field right next to them that is when I saw all this action and I stopped to watch that is when I realized who it was that was playing then seeing their display of soccer on the field was priceless, especially when Alas took one between the legs that alone was worth a ticket price. In the match the brazilians beat the Real Md 1st string team 2-1 a goal scored by Brazilian Neto and one by Adilson delima who was on defense so that alone should tell this management the skills that these 2 showed are what the team needs. Recruiting from the Hammerheads ? what a Joke please check their record also the player that played in Span and all that I bet he will turn out to be another wanna be Alas and Cerrito, the player who did not make the silverbacks 1st team is a joke. so lets keep it real lets get some real talent on this team.

I saw the Real Md tryout fee, are you serious? How can you charge more then you pay the player? They are charging $150.00 per player if 50 silly players fall for this nonsence that would mean that Real Md would net $7,500.00 there entire player salary for 2008 was less then that with the exception of Cerrito and Alas, there were players getting paid $100.00 per game due the math people, this is a gimmick.

Tryout fees are put in place to discourage players from trying out. I mean, who wouldn't want to try out for a pro soccer team?
If the player makes the team, the fee is returned.

Its not worth it because they take your money and give it back to if you make the team as a salary payment so its like you paid to play at least the first game, its not like they would pay you $300.00 the 150.00 you paid and $150.00 salary so the player is the one who gets screwed. and again do the math if 50 players show up for the tryout times $150.00 =7500.00 they will not even keep 5 players from tryouts trust me all these guys are wasting their time and this team pays terrible its players ask any former player who played for them , how can they call them self a Pro team its more like an amature team wanting to hang out with the big boys.

I know that the MLS does this but they also pay much better then Real MDto their players . The lowest MLS player gets like 20K a year I can assure you that 20K is more then $100.00 per game. Real should be a shame of them self.

the try out fees barely cover the expenses of holding a try out. Field rental, support equipment (balls, jerseys, etc), it more than likely includes a lunch and most importantly, Insurance.
If one of those players blew out an MCL or something they could sue the club for the medical bills, and depending on the seriousness of the injury, get future money that could have been made playing professionally.
Its hardly a money making item.

Have you read the Waiver Form ? That is why they make you sign that form in the event that you get hurt or die on the field, they are not liable.
go on their site and look at the form read it the team insurance does not cover you for nothing. They do not provide you lunch and all that stuff you are mentioning. Sorry but this is a team that pays its players $100.00 per game. The field is free since it is at a park they do not pay for the field rental that is the agreement they have with the facilities people, so again do the math 50 players at $150.00. This team is a big joke.

It doesnt matter if there is a waiver form or not, the club has to have insurance. Its a business
it would also be more of a joke if the trialist went out and there were only 2 old balls. (please insert joke here)
I dont know the fiances of the team or the history (other than someone from the organziation gave me a pin for Real Maryland and said "go Battery!", before the USOC final in DC) but $150 seems pretty reasonable to put on a trial

Thats the thing I spoke to players who played on the team last year and they said that Real Md was almost fined by USL because they did not carry insurance that goes to say what kind of club this is. They are a big Joke.

It seems to me that the new managment and coaching staff are looking to change the direction of the team from where they were last year. They are focusing on building a team with players not around one or two players as they did last year. As a member of the Monarch Army, I have been receiving emails from the new GM of all the changes that are happening...did anyone else see the news about the new arrangement with Colorado? It would seem to me that this year will be nothing like last year and I am interested to see how they do.

Please dont get your hopes up because this team is like Bush more of the same, that is why the country sent a message to the nation that it is time for change, same message needs to be applied here with this team. Bring in name player the ones that will make a difference that play not only for the $100.00 the team pays per game but for the love of the game. Another great player that would be great for this team would be rochester rhinos # 8 Salles I have followed his playing history and man he is on fire but could real afford him? like that other player Adauto Neto could they afford him? if you have seen these guys play this is what I am talking about they are play makers, they are players that will make the difference on thsi squad.

Someone should create a poll "Are Marylanders the worst soccer fans in the world?" Read this thread and the Crystal Palace thread it's amazing how much negativity there is for a couple of groups just getting started.

I wouldn't say MD'ers are bad fans. This thread and the CP thread just happen to have one dolt in common. No real arguments, just one person saying everything is a joke.
