Maybe a little.....

Hopefully I'll get it before Regionals, same as usual?

If you want to check if Chicago has everything correct, go to:

www.ussoccer.info

Enter the letter R then your USSF ID #
Password is your last name.

Then click referee history. This will show your registration history.

Remember, I was going to join my merry Band of Brothers in Florida, before it all went tits up.....

You're kidding, right?

I've had mine for some time, as has my 16 year old daughter.

I think before laying this at the feet of Chicago, you should look to your state administration. Here in New Hampshire we have a great team.

I've seen no delay from "Chicago" in the process if it is followed. (You->State->Chicago->State->You) [I think...]

The last couple of years, mine has come direct from Chicago, leading me to believe the path is:

Complete requirements for recert.
State approves.
Chicago mails card and badge (if appropriate).

I can't remember when last years arrived, but my 2007 card arrived the day I departed for Regionals. Admittedly this was the first year of centralization, but still, May?!

I think I contacted Chicago last year and had mine with a couple of days. Can't remember who. Have to look back in sent folder.

I've had both my ref card and instructor card for a while now. Like Campbed, I'm in NH and we are doing everything on line this year with a new SRA, it has sped things up:

- register on line
- do kid-safe check
- attend recert class
- card showed up.

The state has to do its work to get notice to national office that you took the recert requirements.

Right. I guess the missing data is when did your State send in the required info, and how long Chicago had it to process.

Did that - shows I registered on-line on 11/24/08 and simply states (under 'Status') "state level pending".

I don't know if that means my SRA has not yet submitted his verification (of my fulfillment of 'recert' requirements to Chicago - or if he has submitted it - and Chicago is still processing it! :(

As soon as I get off line, I'll e-mail my SRA and quiz him!

Like Campbed and NHRef, I've had mine for at least 6 weeks. I suspect that's probably true for all of us in NH who actually completed the recert requirements.

State level pending = You are done with USSF and NOT your local board.

You may owe dues, or you may need to take a class, or pass a test, or run a fitness... whatever it is, you haven't done it yet.

OR

Your SRA hasn't taken the 10 seconds it takes to jump on-line and say you did what you were supposed to and complete your registration.

I actually was referring to his state.

That is because you have a good SRA there and Oklahoma allows you to register online.

I haven't received a card since 2007. I think it might have been move related, going from NC to VA. but, I'm hoping to get one this year.

In Cal North grades 5-6-7 must register with district, which passes it on to state, which sends it to National. My registration was mailed by me to District on 11/4/2008. According to ussoccer.info, my registration was approved 11/19/2008. No badge/reg card from National yet. First state tournament starts Saturday. I expect to see a lot of 2008 badges.

It was the latter! I had fulfilled my requirements - SRA hadn't! :(

Mine was resent from Chicago twice in December... those ponies had trouble with the river or the mountains... maybe once apiece. Just got my stuff on the third retry from Chicago today. CAS had me all set.
