WBA 20 18

Ill go team by team, all strictly IMO's...

Liverpool- Deffinetely deserve to be first at the moment, based on Hard work and mediocre consistency. There record against the Big4 is a vast improvement over previous years, and there steady against the teams there expected to beat. There best chance in years...

Chelsea- A club in utter turmoil. Seems fergie was right about them being an "Old" club. Ive said it before, Jose "legacy" will be to there own destruction. Still, probably will be there or there abouts till the end. Once scolari is axed, and heads roll, i wonder where that club will go in terms of Moving on.

Manchester United- 2 games in hand, they'll probably win them. Liverpool now united will push them and have the added experiece of doing this year in year out. IMO, still favourites for the Title come May.

Aston Villa- The table doesnt lie and again, anyone expecting them to just drift away are mistaken. They must be taken seriously. Whether or not they go all the way is yet to be Seen, but theyve given them selves a chance. I still think theyll eventually fade into 5th, but kudos to them.

Arsenal- Well. We all saw this was coming, the world saw it. We are struggling, we've got a Room full of Vital 1st teamers all out injured Long term, and weve got a thin Young team. The Doom list goes on, Yet we're Still within striking Distance of Chelsea and United, and Villa. Also, weve got a Manager whos been down this road before and is no Fool, Fact. Im very confident we'll finish either 3rd or 4th.

Everton- Good enough. Theyll probably continue to do enough to push for a European Place while staying far away from the Relegation battle.

Wigan- If brucey can keep his players going till the end, they should also be good enough to stay away from the Relegation battle. maybe dreams of Europe?

Hull- ahhh, the dream story of 'Ull! they started off amazingly! I think it was wenger who said "things are great now, but what when they hit a bad patch as they certainly will". I think there in there bad patch now, the honeymoon is over, and the points are becoming more and more harder to get. That said, Phil Brown will steer them to safety, Easily.

Fulham- Hodgson has done enough to atleast make sure they draw every game, and as long as they keep taking points, should be ok. Good enough for them. probably safe from relegation.

West Ham-Again, Zola and Clarke seem to have steadied the pitch performings to atleast be enough to ensure safety. You never know but in the end, they should have enough quality, if they keep there best players, to be safe.

Now, here is where the real Fun begins! From 10th Bolton down to 20th WBA, Youve got a 5 Point difference.

Its currently way too close to predict anything, and its true, This year, some Big Clubs could go down.

I wont predict Final standings for 10 teams, cause it will be a real Dogfight, but ill predict my 3 to go Down.

In no particular Order...

Stoke, WBA, And either Bolton, Boro, Or Pompey. Throw in spurs just for Good measure;) There in a complete Shite storm as well.

Have at it guys, Discuss the season so far

I'm pretty sure that was Martin, but I can understand why you'd be confused.

While there 3 points off the lead, that is very flattering, ask any of there own fans. Of course there are the delusional ones, but we've also got our own Crazy bunch, so...

Forget the points, my comment was made about Chelsea Football Club.

I stand corrected. There's a reason he's on my ignore list (and has been ever since the coin tossing comment).

That was almost Alan Hansen-esque. :)

At this time of year, the table can most certainly lie. At the end of the season, the table doesnt lie.

QFT! Surely Arsenal should be first. Lets just hope this table gets its act together by the end of the season!

Sometimes it's easier not to get distracted by the rubbish that some people spout. In Juan's case, he lost credibility after the Spurs loving/coin tossing debacle. I don't hold any grudges, but after that, I simply don't have the desire to hear more.

While not strictly on topic of a 08/09 review...here's a rather amusing prediction about the rest of the season and the first half of next season.

Naw, I find you oddly entertaining. As a wise man once told me "sometimes, love doesn't have boundries."

Actually, I have a question bigman (since this is a pretty dead thread, I'll risk anti's wrath and ask publicly) -- how did a guy from Brum become an Arsenal supporter?

BTW, recently attended a game at Upton Park and was in the Brum (away) section. If your answer is "because Blues fans are all scary mother f*ckers," I'll understand...

well my young padewan

i of course like my local team which is birmingham city as i feel obligued to, regardless of how much st andrews sucks and how unnatractive they play lol except for the gawd dugarry!!

but seeing ian wright in a godly nike red kit in 97 just before wenger came turned me onto arsenal

i have since then, always liked the arsenal

championship manager 97/98 was basically arsenal edition for me, problem is back then i couldnt watch anything but highlights as we never had sky or streams

i am just in love with the club, for some reason i was drawn in and attracted to it, now i struggle to watch any other sides than arsenal play anymore!!

in the 90s i had a massive appreciation of ac milan due to george weah but since then i realised italian football is boring as hell....

ian wright, thank you!
