GEORGIAN international striker Shalva Apkhazava, who played for Ukrainian first division soccer side Arsenal Kiev, was found dead this morning.
An Arsenal Kiev spokesman told AFP that Apkhazava, who arrived in the Ukrainian capital today from Georgia to travel with the club to its training camp in Turkey, died from a heart attack.
The body of the 23-year-old, who has won one cap with Georgia's national squad, was found in his room at the club's training base near Kiev.
Apkhazava played 12 matches for Arsenal Kiev in the Ukraine championships before the winter break and scored three goals.
