Subs: Cavalieri, Skrtel, Aurelio, Lucas, Benayoun, Babel, Ngog
I'm assuming Xabi won't be able to go. Hopefully Mascherano is ok. Without Xabi I think we need Gerrard's passing in the middle of the field.
At Anfield these guys managed to get a point off us in one of most one-sided draws I have seen. Lets just watch out for Delap laser throws and we should be ok.

I like Suss' lineup. Maybe Dossena or Aurelio at left back if either of them are fit.
Stoke will be looking to rebound from their disappointing FA Cup exit. This will be a tight match, but if the team can come out with the attacking fervor they showed against Bolton we should be fine.
Stoke will be stubborn, but I believe we will be able to break them down. We are starting to hit our stride. The fans know it, the players know it, and the manager and his staff know it.
0-3 to the good. Torres brace. Hyypia header.

hai guyz just wondering how sure you are that Torres will start at Stoke. It's about fecking time my #1 pick (and #1 overall) is fit and if your free scoring continues it better be a Torres hat-trick.

We run riot as punishment for the draw at home.

I really hope we make up for that aweful result at Anfield, nothing more frustrating than dropping points in a game you should have put away.
I think we'll see Aurelio return to LB in this game and the continuation of the Keane-Torres partnership.
2-0 to the Reds.

Xabi, Arbs, Degen and Dossena will most likely not be available for this match.
Our line-up vs Stoke at home was:
Reina
Arbs Skrtel Carra Dossena
Kuyt Alonso Gerrard Riera
Keane Torres
I expect Rafa to play something similar and if Torres does start, he will probably not be fit enough to play up front by himself. Kuyt definitely starts this match but whether it is on the right or up front we will see.
As usual, we could see any number of different possibilities with our front 6 players.
Reina
Carra Hyypia Agger Aurelio
Lucas Masch
Kuyt Gerrard Riera
Keane
Subs: Cavalieri, Skrtel, Insua, El Zhar, Yossi, Babel, Torres
Reina
Carra Hyypia Agger Aurelio
Kuyt Masch Gerrard Riera
Keane Torres
Subs: Cavalieri, Skrtel, Insua, Lucas, El Zhar, Yossi, Babel

Yossi Masch Gerrard Riera
Kuyt Torres
Subs: Cavalieri, Skrtel, Insua, Lucas, El Zhar, Babel, Keane

This the teamsheet we will see. Beanyoun come on at 70 and Kuyt will move up into Torres spot as he comes off. Babel and El Zhar at 80 minutes if we need to score.

Although this is not a must win match, it is a great opportunity to increase our lead at the top, maintain our momentum, extend our winning streak and take advantage of Chelsea and/or Man U dropping points that weekend.
Our form is very good at the moment, the best of our season imo. Our injury situation (apart from Alonso which is currently unknown) is the best we can expect, so our squad is strong currently. Chelsea are unquestionably in turmoil and although their current position is good, their current performances and form are a source of concern for their title challenge (just check out their forum to witness this). We have a prime opportunity to take advantage by beating Stoke and laying down a marker to our rivals.
I believe we beat Stoke 8-0 (in the League Cup) the last time we played there. Another convincing win would be most welcome. We've won nothing yet, just given us a platform to mount a title challenge. We must approach the situation as an 18 match race starting with Stoke. Let's get the 3 pts and score a hatful. We should have beaten Stoke at Anfield, let's make no mistake in this match.

Although this is not a must win match, WOA...! What planet have you been on lately Rev?
This is exactly the type of match to be labeled "Must win" As of now Manure are one point back of us and probably won't screw up against the Stokes of the league and we can't afford to either.
IF? we want to win the league, this is a "must win"

Well, I said it was highly desirable to win it. A 'must-win' match for me is a match where there is a lot at stake like a CL or FA Cup Final. Or a CL game against Olympiakos where we need to win. Fulham had a couple of 'must win' matches last season where failure to win would have resulted in relegation. The Anfield game against Standard Liege was a 'must win' match. A 'must win' match means that a draw is disaster.
Yes I would love us to win the Prem and indeed win this match but if we fail to win against Stoke then we have not lost our chance to win the Prem. Otherwise you might as well say every match we play is a must win match. We will not win all our remaining 18 League matches but this does not mean we cannot win the League. It is not a win or bust situation against Stoke. The Stoke game is not a 'must win' match but rather an opportunity to extend our lead and to increase our chances of winning the Prem. If we are drawing with 5 minutes to go against Stoke, I doubt we send Reina up for any corners. This would be the case in a 'must win' match.

:)I guess we have different ideas then, I want Reina and Rafa up for that last corner...:)
For me, all the rest of the matches... are Cup Finals.

Last time I saw Stoke, a few of us made the trip by train down to the Potteries for a 2nd division away match, mainly to see Sir Stanley Mathews play. He was 42 then I believe but could still turn a fullback inside out. The likes of Babel and a few like him could have really learnt something from him.
I they weren't busy with their rap music and getting their agents to find more money or another club.

LOL at Stilts rotation to the max!
Obviously Reina, Carra, Agger, Lucas, Gerrard, Kuyt, Yossi, Riera, Babel and Keane all need another rest

Isn't that the whole idea of football?..It might not be a "must win" result now but what if at the end of may we end up a point or two away from the tittle....wouldn't it be a "must win" match then?
Its fair to say that atleast these type of matches must be won by tittle contenders, and i'm sure we won't make the same mistakes we made at Anfield and we will leave stoke with the 3 points. I wonder if Skrtel will get a run in this game, i'm sure torres has a good chance of starting and we really don't need to play with two holding midfielders, so my line-up would be..
----------------Reina---------------
--Carragher--Skrtel-Hyypia---Insua---
