Ok... I know we're all scared to even think about this one, but here we go.
This is gut-check time for the Wizards... after the Crew game, things can't get much worse (I hope).
LA dominated Colorado last weekend. Cobi Jones, of all people, has been on fire lately. If our backline doesn't pull it together, we're in for another severe beating.
A tie would be a miracle, and I would be happy with just keeping it close. Not even going to try to make a prediction... not even sure which Wizards team is going to show up for the game.

As much as I dislike LA, I'll bet we don't show much in this one and rest key people. The schedule is killing us and we have USOC this Saturday that we need to show well in. I bet we put out a competitive team but anyone dinged up or in dire need of rest don't make the trip. Although sitting 7th in the playoff standings, we're still high enough to consider getting points from either of the two Colorado games and maybe a tie from Chicago and still be in even if teams 9 & 10 do anything sinificant. I'll bet Preki is rested and Igor maybe if his foot is still troublesome. Vermes and Guiti will play since they're still kind of coming back. Arnaud, Quill and Gomez will play because they're still not "in form" etc... My prediction is that we will lose yet again but maybe it's good for the bigger picture if we get some rest. Yes we'll hear it from LA and the rest of MLS but essentially two new seasons are upon us where everything is even once again: 1) MLS Playoffs and 2) The USOC. Screw the Champions Cup (when Morelia win that one we can say that we played our C team and that they should've won just to flip the statement back on them for a change). (and reschedule that stupid Rochester "friendly" for the offseason.)
Lineup: (not what I want but what we might see if my conspiricy theory proves true.)
--------Meola
Brunt - Vermes - Diego
--------Z - Q
-Klein - Gomez - Quill
---Arnaud - Armstrong
Galaxy 2
Wizards 0

Arnaud deserves to start, he did show a great deal of effort in the last match. One of the few that did.
I saw Q limping away at the end of the last match so I don't expect him to start. Rest Preki? Not a bad idea really. He looked tired and out of form against the Crew. But I guess I'd play him anyway. I have no faith in Gomez.
I will be glad to see Garcia and Meola back.
If Igor is fit my line up would be:
Meola
Burns-Talley-Garcia-Diego
Klein-Preki-Z-Armstrong
Arnaud-Igor
Score: 0-0!!

I think this is one we definitely try to steal and put our strongest side out on the field. If the playoffs started today we would play Chicago (not a pretty thought). Dallas appears to be the 3rd seed and I would not want to play them in the first round. We match up better with SJ, therefore, we should shoot for 4-5 seed or limp in a 8th. NE and DC theoretically can catch up but one of them must win most of their remaining games (not probable).
LA's defense with Lalas is not very good. If we pressure we should score. that's why I think we put a strong side out for this game.
Over and under for Ruiz flops +4
