I believe official sports has them. Go to the site, click on accessories, click flags, then on the left hand column it says electronic flags.

You can get them from OSUK, Refereeworld, and A&H International. Just put any of them into google. They're pricey though.

Only one guy, the association prez and one of he highest rated refs in our area has these. He also has a sense of humor. During the 20 seconds before kick off we (the other AR and myself) stood and took turns buzzing him and then pointing at each other.

He kept looking back and forth, as a CR would normally do just before kickoff, but we had some fun.

I believe the halftime review began..."Okay you bast--ds!" and we dissolved into laughter.

We have a local official who uses them when he centers youth games. I have never done a line for him, but I have heard from others that have that the electronic flags take a little getting used to and may be more of a distraction then they are worth for lower levels of play.

I have only used them once. One of the nationals I work with occasionally had them. I never beeped, but the opposite AR spotted blood on a player and beeped the CR. Issued quickly resolved.

I never used them in the states, but when I went I reffed in France I worked with a national ref on one game who had them. I find them really helpful for getting the center's attention, especially if there are many noisy spectators.

Expensive as hell though, I might buy some next year if only to show off a little ;-)
