This guy will really be missed. I wish more of today's atheletes could follow his example of loving the game and being an electrifying personality without being a jackass.

I never had the pleasure of watching him play, being a yougin' and all. But as a Met fan, I definitely knew about his career as a Met. Seemingly the only one who believed in that 73 squad and came up with "Ya Gotta Believe!" which is still used today. Not even so much that he was a good player, but he just seemed like one helluva person. We'll miss you Tug, and not just Mets and Phillies fans, but baseball fans.

I drank last night for him.

First the Pope, now Tug. It's been an awful offseason for the '80 phils.

They'll both be missed.

Tug McGraw wil definetly be missed. His winning out and jump off of the mound at Veterens Stadium in the 1980 World Series will always be remembered. He was truly a very great baseball player.
