So Kolo Toure has handed in a transfer request because as reported "Kolo can not stand William and William can not stand him"

I was one of the few that defended Ashley Cole originally, in the end though it worked out well and Clichy is a younger almost equal LB. But losing him brought us Gallas, a player we wouldn't have gone after otherwise. But Gallas seems to be a cancer, he was stripped of his captaincy and now he's into it with Kolo. (Toure is 27 Gallas is 31)

Kolo never complains, is a soft spoken hard playing team player who was an Iffy spuad player in 2002 and by the 2006 champions league run was the rock at the back of our defense.

Chemistry has not, until Gallas came, been one of our problems. You always go the feeling that Thierry, Bobby, Freddy, Paddy, Ralph and Sol were close. I see more whining now from fringe players and it appears that it is a major problem, we are losing players we had in the squad over fixable issue. If L.Diarra is the player Madrid think he is, that we should have played him if we knew Flamini was out of contract last season. Oh well Dead horse.

We pick up Yaya and Arteta in the window and suddenly the chemistry is better, we have a natural leader in Arteta who will blend well with Yaya in the middle and shore up the back at the same time.

So again, is Gallas the French T.O., as a Cowboy fan, I say yes........

Good to get my first thread of the new year out of the way.

Hopefully after January, we can put out.

Sagna-DJ-Kolo-Clichy
..........Yaya.........
Theo-Cesc-Arteta
.......Ade.......RVP

We have enough overlap and interchange to play with enough width, but have a bit more spine and skill around the penalty area.

Gallas gets a bad rap, but the man has been at the top of his trade for what, 5+ years now.

Man City can have Toure if they raise us Steven Ireland.

I don't want Toure to leave he is great on the field and off. You can't help but love him. He makes you crack up watching his interviews.

Gallas should leave he is the one ruining morale.

Gallas is the easy choice to hate, even though he is our best dc at the moment....

Gallas has won a title.

With Chelsea? Toure played 90% of the unbeaten season and was with us for 2 if not 3 FA Cups. No?

Not sure what you mean by Gallas has won a title.

Peter Hill-Wood has pretty much confirmed the story, unless those quotes were completely fabricated.

not talking about the transfer request (there were rumors about Kolo since October).. but Gallas and him having a conflict which lead to it... and calling Gallas the French TO... makes no sense (and I dont like TO or all things Dallas, but what happened this year was not his fault)

Seeing Kolo leave would be sad if it happened, but it is easy to see that he is not happy when watching him play and it has affected him. I just wonder why it seems that Wenger is fine with Gallas when Kolo has been on his side for many more years

Kolo can go on a diet and do some extra road-work to solve his biggest problem. How is Arsene going to get Gallas to agree to be lobotomized and have his jaw wired shut?

Given the choice, I say sell Gallas. Kolo's been in poor form, but form is temporary.

form is indeed temporary.. but class is permanent... Gallas is a better defender...

and Kolo is the one who requested a transfer... so lets not pretend he is Mr. Loyalty here

I'd agree with selling/choosing Kolo over Gallas just because of the chemistry issues. Most Chelsea fans were sick and tired of Gallas and happy for him to leave when he did. However, Kolo's loss of form is bordering on two years now. I don't think he's recovered from breaking it with Sol.

Class is permanent and Gallas has none. Airing the team's dirty laundry to the media is super classy

true... hence why we are talking about on the football pitch... Gallas>>Kolo on the pitch

although, its not like Kolo didnt just hand in a transfer request, or that he hasnt been up to his past levels for 2.5 seasons now... or that he hasnt taken care of himself off the pitch with how fat he looks right now...

im just not understanding this...
