Hey, I appreciate all that Fox Sports does to bring world soccer to me, but man, do I wish that the Spanish networks were televising this tournament. I am watching my tape of yesterday's matches, and the production quality is one step above that which I would expect from a local-access cable channel! The picture is dark and fuzzy, and the replays are poor or non-existent. What is worse are the graphics. The starting lineup for Atlas wasn't even close to who is on the pitch!

I have never seen anything even close to this weak on the Spanish stations (Univision, Galavision, etc.)

Dave,

The InterLiga is being televisded LIVE on Fox SPorts en Español. You can get it through DirecTV or Dish Network.

Dear FSI,

Thanks for the response.

I was indeed aware of the coverage on FSE; what I meant is that since I was watching the NFL playoffs on Sunday, I taped the matches so I could watch them later at my convenience. I have FSE on DirecTV ParaTodos.

My thread was rather meant to be a constructive criticism that the picture quality, replays and graphics were not up to the usual FSE standards. In particular, I was frustrated that the opening lineup was terribly inaccurate, and there were no graphics for substitutions.

I got my FSE in time for last year's semifinals and finals of the Copa Libertadores, and the production was excellent. I realize that you are probably at the mercy of the local facilities, but I figured that things in California were not so horrible as to justify what I saw on Sunday’s matches.

If I am making some bad assumptions or am otherwise off-base, I would welcome the opportunity to improve my understanding.

i agree the production of InterLiga games on FSEE and FSW has been a little crappy in general, but have in mind this whole thing came together just about a month ago, you know? specifically FSEE is a weird channel, you have all the argentinian produced shows that look sharp and the mexican ones which are ok, but overall all the US specific stuff sucks. i cant wait until its a big enough channel that REAL advertisers will be interested. im a little tired of fat burners and crappy comilation CDs...

Why is it whenever the picture is good, the sound is bad and vice versa?

i think the whole thing has gotten better since the first game. the replays arent laughable anymore, i guess... as i said in another thread, its still pretty good, considering they just threw this whole thing together i 5 weeks. shiit, i cant even do my laundry that fast :)
