I got a new yellow Fox40 from my daughter for Christmas so I thought I'd give my black ones a nice hot bath before clipping one to the new yellow.

Apparently I got the water a little warm  and both of my black whistles are now flared at the bottom of the chamber. Well, I guess I'll have 2 new whistles soon. :D

You are not supposed to put them in boiling water on the stove.

Get a 1/4 cup of white vinegar mixed with 1 cup water. Soak the whistle on the lanyard in the vinegar for like 30 min. When you pull the before you pull the whistle out, shake it around a little. All the spit and dirt should come right out.

Then rinse in luke warm water... and soap if you like... then rinse it off till it's clean of all soap and vinegar... Dry off and use.
