Noticed these two shows are not on the schedule for the first week of the year. Are they gone? Or is this just a temporary holiday break or something.

I was wondering that too. I liked the hour of Futbol Mundial teamed with Football Asia (all football, all asia, all here...on Football Asia).
I hope it is just on a winter break.

Futbol Mundial, Trans World Sport, and Western Union World Football are all gone.
They are redundant programming now that FOX Sports World Report (FSWR) is produced by Global TV in Winnipeg 7 days a week.
FSWR pays SNTV (AP/TWI joint venture) and Reuters subscription fees to use the video highlights and story packages produced by these two services.
Many of the story packages on Futbol Mundial and Trans World Sport (both TWI productions) show up on SNTV several days before they air on the shows.

World Football (I'm assuming it's the Western Union show) is also on the program guide for this coming Friday, appears to be in the same spot where Futbol Mundial used to be.

Galavision HAD Western Union World Football (Octagon CSI), not Futbol Mundial (TWI). That is also gone.

Rats! I really enjoyed Futbol Mundial, especially their cup coverage. Their series of reports on the last African Cup of Nations was excellent.

If FSW no longer shows Futbol Mundial, than who does carry it in the USA? I can't believe they would drop such a great show shown in almost every country in the World!

Nobody. It didn't sell ads and people didn't watch in droves, so out it went. FSW probably gets FSW Report from Global for a much smaller fee than Futbol Mundial and World Football went for from the marketing agencies.

I wonder if GolTV customers would give programming a ring if they might be enticed to picked those shows up. I know that they broadcast spanish voice-overs on FS en Espanol. I know that this wouldn't help those with only FSW but those that have GolTV might benefit.

If you are a real satellite hobbyists, you can get Futbol Mundial. It's on Dubai Sports.
Dubai Sports also carries the Australian produced "the World Game", which used to be called "Football Feva", a show used to be on NESN.
