I just stumbled across this randomly. It's for the Albany, NY area which does not have any sort of hispanic population so I'm assuming these channels must be getting added soon for everyone.

ESPN Deportes to be added to channel 662 on December 30, 2008
Big Ten Network to be added to channel 678 on December 30, 2008
Big Ten Network HD to be added to channel 1878 on December 30, 2008
Gol TV to be added to channel 679 on December 30, 2008
I left the Big Ten network in there because I've been waiting for that one too. Good thing they added it AFTER the season right? lol

IIRC, the recent (as of 1-2 years ago) deal that TW signed with Disney included things like ESPNU, ESPN2HD, various disney channels, and ESPN Deportes. They're also adding ESPNU HD and ESPN News HD in my area.
That Gol TV bit is surprising.

Apparently, it's NY, LA, and Texas only.

No, that wasn't for the capital region of NY. That was in the summer and unrelated.
I'm telling you if it's getting put in here I would expect it to be rolling out in various locations in '09. This area has no soccer following. Latinos represent 5% of the Albany population. So again, don't give up on Time Warner adding ESPN Deportes or GolTV in your area if it's not already carrying it now.

We've had it (Gol TV) in the Woodstock area - just south of your area - for the last three months or so, and Deportes seemingly forever. But whereas Deportes coms as a part of a package, you have to buy Gol TV separately. I am still debating whether to get Gol TV or not, I would because I really like the Bundesliga, but then again have heard many complaints that they barely show any BL games live.

None of the channels got added. I guess that .pdf file was wrong. I've been reading Albany blogs and it looks like they will be up by February.
But Time Warner did confirm that the MLB Network would be up in time for its launch. The channel appeared but it was just a blank screen and still is. Doh. I guess they didn't specify whether or not it would actually have baseball on. They just said the channel would appear and they followed through on that. :)

Any chance GolTv would be coming to the Cleveland area? That would make my new year!

So you're saying they'll get GolTV in February? I can't tell.
It's not coming to San Diego, at least not yet. I've called about 5 times making sure I spoke to 5 different customer service operators, expressing my frustration at not being able to get it, trying to put pressure on as it were. One guy said he knew of it and that it was "in the works", but couldn't tell me anything more.
I'm definiitely jonesing for my La Liga and Bundesliga fix, and with Donovan headed to Munich, I want it even more.
