I was browsing through the MLSnet.com store when I came up on a DC United infant set!
I had never seen one before.

Not the greatest, but cute.

It looks like they're just now getting around to unloading all the DC excess ABMOD uniforms.... ;)

I bought one of these a few months ago for my nephew. I haven't seen it yet, but his parents say it looks great.
The smallest size should fit a one-year-old kid.

Does anyone know if Adidas contract expired? With Adu at DC, I would think Nike would want to sign.

DCU is getting new adidas home jerseys for next season. I'm sure they are not out of contract.

I love Nike and support them very strongly, because they are THE biggest equipment sponsor for MLS and US Soccer. Adidas supports Bayern Munich and the German National Team and does nothing for US Soccer and doesn't really support MLS.
Nike is the reason we had the financial resources to develop Donovan, Beasley, Convey, etc., and one of the big reasons why MLS even exists. Not to mention that P-40 and the U-17 US Residency is pure Nike. Donovan and Adu would not be in the US without Nike. So, I'm very very pro-Nike. You should be too.
But, I think DC United's uniforms look great with Adidas, and MLS is going to keep them as a sponsor in some capacity, so I'm cool with it being DC United. After all, they do make our uniforms, which--primarily because Kevin Payne designed them--are the sharpest in all of MLS IMHO.
Has DC United ever had any other unofficial jerseys/uniforms made by Nike sold by MLS?

NYR Metro's flaming deleted. I have very little patience when supporters of other teams come to this board and call posters here idiots. Do it again and I'll request a yellow card. Consider this warning.
... follow up ...
NYR Metros - I deleted your reply. Follow up via PM, not here. I've made my decision and you were flaming. If you've got a complaint then take it up with me in private. I won't let you drag this thread down.

makes me wish I checked BS last night :) Now I'll be curious all day how you can flame an infant clothing thread :)
I swear I've seen the infant sets before, even bought one for a friend, but I can't be sure, it might have been toddler stuff. And I've never seen/noticed Nike stuff with a United logo on it, that is interesting.

If you check all the teams on mlsgear.com, you'll notice that all teams have an infant set made by Nike. And they're all identical. So I wouldn't worry/speculate about a Nike conversion.

It's not uncommon for one manufacturer to make an item for most teams. I think Majestic made jeresy-like shirts for all 10 or 12 teams at one point.

I bought one for my little daughter age 2 and I love it.
Can't wait to show her off once the season starts!

I think young Alexander will need to get one next Christmas (he is not even close to being a toddler yet!)
