Okay, it's time to fix our home scoring woes!
I am unsure if Torres, Degen, or Aurelio will be fit for this clash, so I will put my lineup out there, assuming they won't be.
--------------------------Reina--------------------------
Arbeloa----------Agger--------Carragher--------Insua
-----------------------Mascherano----------------------
Benayoun--------------Gerrard-------------------Riera
------------------Kuyt-------------Keane----------------
Subs - Cavalieri, Hyypia, Dossena, Alonso, NEZ, Babel, Ngog
Bolton haven't been doing too poorly this campaign, but I expect them to come to Anfield looking for a point. If we are struggling to score, I think that Rafa should keep enough options on the bench (Alonso, NEZ, Babel, and Ngog) that will make us more attacking.
1-0 to the good, Gerrard the goal-scorer.
I am going to continue to not pick Keane to score. Every time I don't pick him, he finds the net.

All right I'm in. But I'm not picking my team sheet just yet. I have to think and "we have to manage the possibilities with the schedule having two matches in three days". I expect Sami at home and Agger away but we don't know about Skirt. I hope Rafa finds a healthy Torres under the Xmas tree on Thursday but who plays when will require some thought. With Bolton bunkered you might save Robbie for St James Park where the Toon might feel compelled to attack and there might be room behind for him and/or Torres. Kuyt might be the lad to lead us at Anfield. So many possibilities.

no doubt that Bolton will play 10 behind.
Here's the deal - I think we go for the juggular here because it will really settle the fans down as they (and the players) are desperate for a win at Anfield.
Thus I think we play open and attacking football.

If the Villians beat L'Arse they are surely out of contention and we will all have to deal with Villa. ManUre has the easiest two games.

Ugh!
I totally forgot that we have 3 games in two days. I will change my team-sheet later on then.

Ah! I am all out of sorts! :)
It will be interesting to see what Rafa does. I hope he is doing better, as well as our players.

Good point.
Carra will hopefully have a rest vs Bolton or Newcastle and im guessing that Sami will play both matches. Hopefully Carra and Sami vs Bolton and Sami and Agger vs Newcastle.
Masch will also be back soon to give Xabi a rest somewhere over the next 2-3 matches.

According to Le Formule, the fulltime score will be made known once the team news are out.
Consider this your warning to stop touting/spamming this Le Formule, and try to actually post something worthwhile or your posts will get binned! ;)
Thanks.

According to Le Formule, the fulltime score will be made known once the team news are out.
The last time you and your boyfriend quoted Liverpool's teamsheet...there were 4 mistakes on Liverpool's team.
Even though we had six 1st team players out (Skrtel, Torres, Aurelio, Dossena, Degen, Mascherano) you two still managed to make 4 mistakes.
The only reason why the scoreline was predicted as 1-1 is because 3 out of the 4 meetings we had with Arsenal last season all ended up as 1-1 scorelines...so it was fairly obvious that was the safe bet.
Hopefully you finally take into account the above post by El-Cap and you have an original opinion.

As much as I'd like us to come at yas 442 like we did to Pompey I reckon you're looking at
--------------|Jussi|----------------
Steinsson---Cahill--O'Brian----Samuel
---------------McCann--------------
Davies---Nolan-----Muamba--Gardner/Taylor
-------------Elmander---------------

Muamba did a good job on Gerrard when we met at your place and we seem very nervy at Anfield. A lot depends on how we deal with your wingers (particularly Gardner), although Taylor is a threat from distances. Would Davies really be played in a wide role?
I notice that you gave Portsmouth a torrid time of it on Saturday, too; why, then, does Megson seem so unloved at the Reebok?

Gardner you're really going to have to watch out for, he's been playing like he was ten years younger in the last few games - could've had a hat-trick last Sunday with some better finishing. Taylor too.
Davo plays wide when we put Elmo up front, though he drifts in anyway so it's not much different...
As for Ginger Mourinho, the mood is starting to shift now that we're finding the net - the biggest complaint has been our poor finishing. If we win a few more at the Reebok he may yet earn a grudging nod of approval ;)

According to Le Formula, Gardner will be dropped. And tactically wise, McCann is supposedly playing on the left side of the central midfield with Muamba doing a "Makelele" in front of the back four. But kudos for the rather accurate representation of Bolton's setup on Boxing Day.
FFS stop with this nonsense.
Football is dynamic...McCann will not play specifically on the left side of midfield and never venture towards the right. It doesnt matter whether he is on the right or left.
Football isnt determined by the three or four digit numbers that represent systems.
These numbers were mainly introduced so that people that didnt have any idea of tactics could have a generic understanding of the line-up.
I hope that Le Formula gets shut down sometime soon so that you dont have anything to say on these forums, ever again.

Emphasis on 'supposed'. Fabrice is a fast, hard tackler who can run box to box but he is not a holding midfielder, he doesn't have the creativity or the distribution for that. He shares defensive midfield duties with McCann, as the world-reknowned BWFC midfield has naught but contempt for the 'Makelele position'.

I don't see the contradiction in thsoe two quotes - Muamba plays a harrying role, using pace and hard tackling. He doesn't play a deep-lying defensive role which you were implying with the Makelelele nonsense.
