Not a lot happening to be honest, league wide.
But, the PATRIOTS just ran down the field with complete ease to open the game. 7-0. Home Field is 55:30 or so away.

Bledsoe throws a floater on his first pass, INT. Short TD drive. Little out pattern to Bethel Johnson, makes Nate Clements look like a fool (no he isn't doing down if you bump into him), touchdown! This game is already over.

It's 21-0, but Brady just went out with an ankle / knee injury. Hit by Milloy as he threw the ball. Clean hit, Milloy's trying to tackle him, but nearly all of New England just saw their hearts jump halfway out of their throats.

Brady's back, another TD pass, 28-0. I never, ever thought it would be this easy. Just incase though, it's about time for Damon Huard and all backups.

28-0 - not even halftime yet. Chiefs are playing for nothing tomorrow now. Pats will have home field through the playoffs.
GO PATS!!!

Dear Terrell Owens:
F off. Brandon Lloyd has emerged, Tai Streets is around, and we'll get more decent help at receiver for 1/3 of what you want. Jackass.
Signed,
SF 49ers
What a freaking one hand to two hand grab! You'll see it on a replay. Too bad for SF that it was followed by a pathetic throw by Garcia.

So, will Spurrier resign before Snyder fires him?
I'm not a Skins fan, but I do sort of like 'em, mostly because my wife's brother is such a huge fan. They just plain suck.
Too bad the fans can't get rid of Danny Boy. It's been a neverending downward spiral ever since he bought the team.

Rumor has it that Miami wants him. Personally, as a Georgia alum, I can't wish enough for Steve to fail fail fail fail fail!!!!!

Jake Plummer will not even dress at Green Bay. I don't know about this one. Realizing it only means something to Denver if Tennessee loses, but it does mean something to Green Bay, Minnesota, and Seattle. I guess there's no unwritten rule about at least making an effort to win if it means something to the playoff picture. Clinton Portis not playing, ok I'm cool with that since he's still banged up.

No way!? Are you serious!? No Plummer and probably no Portis!? Green Bay to the playoffs, baby!

I can't believe the Vikings just fudged it. 4th and 25 and Arizona scores on the last play. I'm in San Diego so I can't see the game, but what the hell happened?
GB in, MN out
oh well, at least San Diego gets the first pick

Arizona scores 2 TDs in the final 2:00. Including an onside kick that Kleinsasser touched at the 39, 9 yards away but if he didn't touch it, the ball goes to 10 and Arizona recovers.
The Vikings sacked Josh McCown two straight plays in a row before the last touchdown.

I would have given my arms and legs to be in Lambeau right now. Green is unbelievable... a 60+ yarder then a 98 yarder, Favre leads as per usual. "GO CARDINALS! GO CARDINALS!" I CANNOT believe this! Last play of the game! 4 in December and a 72-10 in our last 2 games... Seahawks to go down next, and the roll continues!

I wouldn't bet against Brett Favre and that angel sitting on his shoulder about now.

Neither would I. Why do I get the feeling that Green Bay will ride this all the way to the Super Bowl and beat my Pats? Note: My condolences go out to the Favres, but that doesn't mean I want them to win a potential Super Bowl vs. NE.

I really thought the Packers had a Super Bowl calibre team last year if they could have gotten a bye in the first week of the playoffs to rest. This year they're peaking at the right time and playing so well that even Sherman's questionable decisions aren't hurting them much.
An hour ago I was resigned to thinking that a team that lost to Detroit, Arizona and blew two games they had in their hands (Philly and KC) at home didn't deserve to get a break and get into the playoffs. Now I'm on cloud nine.
Let's welcome Mr. Holmgren back to Lambeau in style fellas.
cheers,

And the coaching carousel begins...
ESPN is already reporting that the ax will fall on Gregg Williams in Buffalo, Dave McGinnis in Arizona, Dick Jauron in Chicago and Bill Callahan in Oakland sometime this week. So, those 4 jobs will be open, as is the NY Giants job, and Atlanta.
ESPN is also reporting that Dave Wanstedt will get at least one more season in Miami, and San Diego has already announced that Marty Schottenheimer will be back there next season. So, the only question mark should really be in Washington, and if Miami is going to keep Wanstedt, then that takes away Spurrier's out.

Just saw that myself, and actually, his contract now runs through 2005. Here's a link to the Wanny story. I don't know how he does it. First, he manages to last about 2 more years longer than anyone would've guessed in Chicago, and now he goes at least one year longer than I thought he was going to at Miami -- I didn't see him getting past this one, though he didn't eff up as bad as I would've guessed. Oh, and a hint to Miami: Relieving him of personnel decisions isn't going to help.
