So does anybody give LDU a chance against ManU?

After watching LDU perform so poorly at Copa Sudamericana, I thought this might be the year that a South American club is upset before the final. But they held their end of the deal so far. Now lets see if they can win it for Conmebol.

As much as I enjoy watching Carlitos Tevez winning titles, I have to support Conmebol on this. I'll be pulling for Liga.

But obviously ManU is the favorite and I expect them to win.

It's very difficult to LDU.

Its dismantling doesn't give it many chances.

In a football game, though, concentration can be decisive.

A small cat, if it has no way out, can provoke severe bruises to a mastiff.

And even put it to run.:D

Great to read that! Bauza and everyone knows chances are slim, but then again, that was the way it has been for Liga since the quarterfinals in Libertadores. The smaller team. I am just very proud of my team and cant really ask for more. But I do hope a great match for the final.

Like i've been holding lately, i think it'll be hard for both sides. While on papaer it may look like Manchester United shouldn't have any trouble.

On paper LDU would have never won the Copa Libertadores. i personally would be very cautious of any Club that can go into the Maracana with 90K+ FLU fans and come out vistorious but that just me. If LDU comes out organized and plays Counterattacking futbol than they have a Shot. And Cristian Ronlado has been warned. He may try that over heel crap on those flat footed englaishmen all day but he will get jacked up.. Any see that Brazil- Portugal ass rape? The Brazilians were taughting and making fun Cristiano. What were they saying? WORLD PLAYER MY ASS? hilarious!!!

LDU are very conscious that they will have to pull a perfect game to win. I expect a very good match.

Should be interesting - I'll see if I can wake up for this - but I won't be shocked - if I watch the replay. Though - we'll see.

LDU is definitely up against the odds. At this point ManU have to be termed clear favorites. Looking forward to a good match...

I'm convinced that a full-strength Liga with the squad they had in June would have won this match. Big difference between Guerron and Reasco on the right side, he was never a threat the whole match. Vera also provided leadership at the back, which was needed.

Narrow victory by Team World over the a team that lost 2 star players since they won the Libertadores and just finished 2nd place in the Ecuadorian league.

I am convinced a European club taking this tournament seriously and having a month to climitise and prepare would totally destroy anything from the south American continent:cool:

Where did this clown come from? I must of missed his numerous post on this subject..Amazing how the europeans come out when they win and when they lose. they don't care. Are you bragging about a victory over a club from a modest futbol country? Liga's annual budget is about 6 million USD. Cristiano ronaldo makes more. Great fv.cking job from the small Andean country with a huge heart and effort. This Liga was a shadow of the one that won the Copa Libs. You did us well!

Looks like they're taking it seriously to me. Full-strength squad celebrating like children with the trophy.

I am also convinced if these matches are played in the summer, after the respective Champions League and Copa Libertadores, when you have the same squads, instead of a depleted South American champion with its star players having been bought up by teams like Man U, you would have more meaningful contests. Pretty difficult to deny that.

lol its a farce, they are more focused on stoke on boxing day, its even low key on english tv.

if you had given man utd the choice then they wouldnt have gone.

the summer, when european teams want to go on vacation:rolleyes:

having it in japan sucks balls.

If uefa and Fifa want a real shoot out they should put up some serious prize money.

Quit arguing with the HOBBIT..Its not like England has a fantastic record in this tournament.

Here's an article interviewing GOD himself Carlos Bianchi. An explanation the little cry babies the Euro's are when they lose..
