Which clubs ususally compete in the CL?

No French team has won the UEFA Cup. Marseille won the Champions League in 1993 but were stripped of their title due to match fixing.
The French teams in the Champions League changes from year to year there isn't much consistancy other than Lyon being there 3 years in row now.

wrong... only stripped from the national title
Marseille is also the latest team to play the UEFA cup final but lost against parma 3-0 (half of the team was suspended because of the game against bologna)
